Greg Gianforte vs Rob Quist

What is there to not understand? Liberals support immigration because they know they can get most of the votes from it. Why would the democratic party have it's position on immigration and not the one it had back in the 1990's? Maybe because they figured out they can use immigration to boost their voting tallies. You guys are not even slightly smooth with the crap you pull.

Mexicans are coming to terk er jerbs and err electrions

Foreigner =/= noncitizen. Every citizen can vote including green card holders. Either your vocabulary or irrationality just failed you badly.

The only difference between you and a naturalized citizen is that you can only vote in local and state elections that don't require you to be a U.S. citizen. Unfortunately, green card holders are prohibited from voting in federal elections. In other words, you have no say in who will become the next U.S. President

Try again.

This thread is about live coverage of the election returns. I found a returns page to watch with the NYT. Any other ones would be welcome as well. Polls close at 10:00pm EST so an hour and a half from this OP.

Gianforte? Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!

Seriously though, why the **** wasn't he questioned at the sheriffs office about the assault he committed? What kind of third world ****hole is Montana running over there?

You seem to forget that the left doesn't hide the fact that the majority of Mexicans vote for their party. Gosh, why would they support immigration from Mexico? Hmm...let me think about that for a minute. lol

Are you Native American, Henrin?

Fair enough, I was under the assumption that a green card holder could be a naturalized citizen. Regardless, you prove my point. A foreignor is not necessarily a non-citizen by definition and citizens who are foreigners vote as a bloc for one party.

So, since I can correct myself, you'll be kind enough to be more careful about misconstruing someone as a "phobia".

Are you Native American, Henrin?

Please tell me you're not trying the whole everyone is an immigrat crap. You realize they weren't from North America either, right? If you really want to play that angle you should know that you're going to lose.

Greg Gianforte vs Rob Quist

This is the topic.

Are you Native American, Henrin?

What is the point of this question? It would be one thing if you guys were for immigration from south of the border because it was something you honestly believed in, but you're only really for it because you figure you can politically gain from it. If you don't understand how it is scummy to use immigration as a political voting tool then I can't help you.

I totally think counties these days hold out to be one of the last just to get some press.
That's exactly how Cook County does it.

They wait for the suburbs and downstate to come in, figure-out what they need to put the Dems over the line, and publish that number! :2razz:

Quist is only down 5pts with one left leaning area still to come in.

True. If Dems get painted as bad on the 2nd Am., or even, nowadays, bad on immigration, it's doomsday in deep red districts/states.

However, I think there's a difference between running as a Blue Dog Dem.. and being a total corporate sellout, waterboy for the insurance industry and oil and gas. Which is what plenty of Dems have in common with GOPs. What poweRob is saying, in my mind, is that Dems shouldn't lose sight of what they believe in, just to appease a Red state.

I'd like to make one more point. Millenials are changing demographics as well. As the older generation checks out, boomers age, and gen X'ers and millenials start making up the main working class of America, our politics is going to change. The problem is, millenials don't support Republicans or Democrats. And if you give them Joe Manchins to vote for, they just won't vote.
I agree with the bolded.

Dems are on the wrong side of immigration for much of the country, and wrong on the 2a for much of the country.

I think Dems don't realize how disgusted most of the country is with illegal immigration, amnesty, and illegal converted to citizenship. Most of the country simply don't want it. I don't blame them either, and in fact agree with them.

Green Card holders can't vote in national elections!

No idea why any state or locality would want them to vote in theirs, either. But apparently some do.

Officially called for Gianforte by NYT.

Dems don't want to punish the individuals who come here to work farm jobs. It's the companies who rely on a labor pool that is wholly outside of legal protections that are the source of the demand for illegal laborers which compels the supply of illegal laborers.

Green card holders are not citizens. You do know that, right?

I already corrected that. I thought some green card holders were citizens but, i was confusing the process with naturalization.

Just called by CNN for Gianforte.

Republican voters are a ******* embarrassment.

"Don't punish the illegals that come here to work"?

Wha?

I don't want to drag the thread sideways, but when and why is it O.K. to accept or support illegal behaviour?

Good luck convincing me of this!

Keep sticking your head in the sand. Keep losing elections to people like Gianforte and Trump. Keep up that "but they just want to work on our farms" fairy tale. I literally have no idea who you're trying to convince with that argument. It must be just yourself because you can't possibly be using that weak argument to people who see what's going on in this country.
