What "well regulated" means in the 2nd Amendment

the only honest position is that the second amendment was intended to be a complete ban on federal restrictions on bearable arms in the hands of private citizens

I wouldn't say that's the only honest position, but it's a position that I agree with.

Thats funny.

Wait...

are you serious?

What are you talking about! We are talking about the 2nd amendment to the constitution. ???

This guy thinks mobilizing the militia willy somehow magically end crime - like the war on drugs

We pressed as to how this miracle would be achieved, he merely said that criminals will be obliged to stop their criminal behavior but wouldn't elaborate beyond that.

gun banning really is your fault, right wingers. if, y'all were Good and not Bad with your guns this would not be an issue.

I'm a Democrat, not a right-winger, who believes as long as there are firearms the law-abiding individual in this country should have the right to own one.

I agree as well. There should be reasonable limits

Holy ****balls....

Seriously

PLEASE

Do yourself a favor and look at the weapons in that room. Now...look at that abomination presented in that image you just offered. THEN learn how a bumpfire stock works.

I dont disbelieve that they found 2 tripods in the suite. Thats the kind of thing that makes the whole scenario suspect.

OH..and BTW...try to use the optic on that weapon pictured.

Oh bs, I'm no more anti-gun then you are I just happen to believe in some restrictions.

I do too-such as no discharging firearms in urban areas unless there is an emergency and using a firearm to harm innocents should be punished. I also believe some people should not be able to acquire firearms

That's not racist? What a scumbag meme. And you defending it. What does that say?

Still no comment. Not even from the peanut gallery. We're just gonna let that slide, huh. Looks photo-shopped too. The pic is racist garbage produced by fat whitey.

Then how will we ever get rid of firearms in the USA ?

Good because they did

Do you now say a rifle, fitted with a bumpstock, can or cannot be used with a tripod ?

Correct. THOSE rifles cannot be fired with a bump stock from a tripod.

There is very little about that suite that makes sense...starting with the logistics of breaking out 800 pound pressure storm windows with a 10 pound short handled sledge hammer. Multiple types of weapons...stacks of different magazines. Weapons piled up in chairs.

to say nothing of the 'suicide' death scene.

I would call them semi automatic rifles. "Assault rifles" are fully automatic, none of the rifles in the pictures are full automatics.

What definition are you going by?

The "Assault Rifle Ban" included such semiautomatics.

Nope, that was the "assault weapon ban." The term, "assault rifle" specifically refers to fully automatic rifles. The term, "assault weapon," means something else, generally it refers to semi automatic rifles with certain cosmetic features such as barrel shrouds, pistol grips, bayonet lugs, adjustable stocks, and so forth.

Show me an official federal definition that says assault rifles are fully automatic. You are wrong

Hmmm, interesting distinction. So what do you make of this?

President George H.W. Bush banned all imports of semi automatic rifles in March 1989, and made the ban permanent in July 1989

The Vegas shooter wasn't firing off a tripod. In the video you can see his muzzle flash outside the window. Using a tripod, his muzzle would have extended past the window frame.
