"We want to make what's intimate, public."

Is this really necessary? It seems like the further people can get from the norm these days, the better they like it...the world is screwed up and getting more screwed up every day...

Union of 3 Men Made Legal in Colombia

Good for them!
While I would never participate in such it has nothing to do with me.
What's "screwed up about it"?
Polygamy is not a new thing by any stretch of the imagination. As long as its consenting adults I dont care, its none of my business and it doesn't really affect anybody.

Probably anyone that wishes to preserve the innocence of their young children as long as they can.

How does this step on the wishes to preserve children of innocence?
After that where does that end and why does it actually matter?

Im asking because rights and freedom > than ones opinion of "innocence" and I be impressed if theres a logical defense of such a claim, especially one that isn;t already done in society 100 different other ways or by different opinions. Please share . .

It's been that way since the beginning of time, until recently, and society did just fine...

???? what planet are you originally from because that sentences is factually false in most areas and totally subjective and nothign but opinion in others.
Disagree? please state where these laws that invented and limited marriage existed/originated and why they are the trump to everything else. It cant be done because its factually not true.

Not according to Jesus and he makes the rules for his followers, not the other way around...

and his rule is only he shall judge in that regard . . . ;)

Backatcha...the laws have been that way fr a long, long, time...since the days of Christ and beyond until just recently, when it was made legal for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman...I'm expecting to see a law passed before long where you can marry a baboon if you want to...

Not true...he gave us many scriptures for us to be able to discern the good from the bad, including people..."by their fruits you shall know them"...

Also true, but I don't know what that has to do with the employer knowing you are a Christian and therefore knowing to ask certain questions before hiring you. If the employees says he/she would be okay with that and then later finds out he/she isn't, the employee won't have any grounds for claiming a hostile work environment forcing him/her to leave. Human Resources have to consider all angles these days.

Interesting, Im very curious about this, I find your train of though very interesting. I'm christian myself but what you are saying I never think about in either direction.

so heres my question, employer if a person volunteers they are christian what "questions" should I know to ask before hiring them?

My point is, if that happened to me . . .99 times out of 100 unless there was something else that caught my attention I would simply shrug and not think to ask anything special or thought their statment mattered one bit. SO im curious what your train of thought would be, or anybody elses . . .

1.)Backatcha...the laws have been that way fr a long, long, time...since the days of Christ and beyond until just recently
2.), when it was made legal for a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman...
3.) I'm expecting to see a law passed before long where you can marry a baboon if you want to...

1.) again NO they have not, try learning history you are factually wrong. I noticed you avoided my question, wonder why?
2.) it was recently made legal for government contracts in this country and nothign more. . seems you are severely uneducated on this topic
3.) the easiest and fastest way to not be taken seriously and expose ones own sever lack of education on this topic is to compare legal marriage to bestiality. Its the most retarded and dishonest comparison can make. It ranks right up there when people said if you make blacks people you might as well let horses be people or if you let women vote you might as well let my dog vote. Way to keep it classy LMAO

Simple question . . . can an animal enter into a legal contract?

Thanks though, your reply is VERY informative and entertaining

you are factually wrong again, actually its 100% true! LMAO
you nor I have any power to accurately judge . . all you or i have is our opinions on the matter which are completely 100% meaningless. He is the only one that can actually judge, you are powerless in this regard.

I know it's 100% true...:lamo

1.) no you do not nor does your judgment matter its only your opinion and nothign more LMAO

Trust me im not, in fact I take much delight in your inability not to be able to back up your claims. Just simply admit you misspoke. That type of honesty and integrity would garner respect, otherwise it just gets more and more funny/entertaining watching the desperate deflections from the lies/pure ignorance you got caught posting.

So again, either show integrity and honesty and admit you misspoke (it happens to us all) or please let us know when you can provided ONE SINGLE fact that supports your false claims, thanks :)

I am thinking that if the employee went out of the way to announce he/she was Christian, and you know your clientele and even some of your people are prone to rough language and such, you might want to feel out somebody as to whether he or she would be comfortable with that. Is he/she okay with taking turns with others to cover shifts on Sundays, even religious holidays? Are you okay with the punch being spiked or beer or wine served at company parties or the company picnic? Questions such as that.

The prospective employee can then decide if that is okay, and you are in a position to evaluate whether this person will be a good fit. A good interviewer plays it by ear and, while staying within the law, will know what information the interviewee and the interviewer both need to know.

1.) Hmm interesting . . thanks!
I wonder if thats more common in certain areas than others. Ive done some hiring (25+ people) and interviewing (100+) over my career and Ive actually never had anybody tell me randomly they are christian. If they did, again I wouldn't think much of it because I am too. The things you state to ask IMO would be their responsibility to know or ask. Now mind you if I was looking for somethign VERY specific, like work every sunday or something of that nature that wasn't obvious in the job description I would of course ask. Otherwise that person should be fully aware of working hours or schedules and ask (if its outside of normal expectations)

Now also with that said all my experience has been in manufacturing, engineering and production. So my mind set is of that nature . . language is rougher than a company that has nothign but cube farms I imagine so I would never think to ask and sunday work can happen but typically has always been voluntary OT or rotational. If it was rotational or the possibility of mandatory it was simply always presented no matter the person.

As far as the bunch bowl being spike lol thats always been controlled strictly by HR or the the biggest Boss where i have worked and again since it would be voluntary i would never think to ask if a person cared. They are free not to participate.

2.) I agree and I often do play it by ear but the things you suggest i have never thought of. But again, its probably because I have never had anybody tell me they are christian. Nor have I done hiring without a proper informative job description or talks about job requirements/expectations where any of that would be a surprise. I think thats the most important and through thing. Ive never felt motivated to give any of it special attention based on religion.

And to be honest when it does seem like somethign needs special attention that usually means its NOT a good fit.

Lastly have you ever had somebody announce they are christian?

Im thinking due to my location, jobs i hire for (engineers, IT and techs) I wont come accross this much if at all. Anyway . . thats still interesting, thanks again!
