Trump: 'US will not allow transgender individuals to serve in military' [W:144]

One of the SEALs who took out Bin Laden is trans. Trump dodged the draft FIVE times. Any trans person going out their front door in the morning shows more courage than Trump ever will.

Meh. Not really. I'm assuming you are talking about Kristen Beck who WAS a licensed to kill seal team 6 bad ass. But she wasn't on the raid. My understanding is she left before that. Basically...she was a 1971 dolphin ;)

Doesn't make her any less of a bad ass. And she probably was in the roster dealing with the problems there. Sorry. I couldn't help it.

It's comical that liberals can't understand something so simple.

There is absolutely no similarity working with a LQBTQ in the real world and being forced to work with a LQBTQ in the military. That you can't understand that shows how many liberals live in their. "everyone pharts unicorns" fantasy World.

I'm curious as to WHY they shouldn't be allowed to serve? What is the logic here? What is the purpose? Who does this help? Why?

Made it before huh? And these trumpettes are trying to tell me he made his decision after talking with the generals. I knew that was a lie.

trump doesn't even respect his generals. Now Sen. McCain is a hero because he voted for debate, but clearly stated he was a NO on the wealthcare bill in its current form.

And here GOP Sen. Joni Ernst is a combat veteran herself. I'm waiting to hear what chameleons like Sen. Cotton say .

The military spends five times as much on Viagra as it would on transgender troops’ medical care.

Probs already been posted but looool.

Like I already said, if he actually does it and tries to roll this back, this is indefensible. Nobody has even come close to justifying somethign so vile.

And nobody answering the important question, what happens to the 1000+ already enlisted, whats just and right for them?

its pathetic LOL

There is something wrong with this article Nilly.

I never encountered a erection problem, or heard of one when a ship pulls into port. ;)

They must be accounting for retirees.

You weren't on Potassium Nitrate mixed with your food as my Dad was in WWII .

Funny how you don't present any opinion of your own in a thread you started and instead just celebrate what you think it will do to your political opposition.

Its so hard to take trumpettes seriously on the political front when all you guys seem to want to do with political power is settle scores or bludgeon others rather than lead at all in any particular direction.

If you look at most of the threads they are Trump bashing and do exactly what you're bitching about.

Whose in charge now? Who holds ALL the cards in the government? Whose supposed to be leading and laying out the direction?

The coward in chief just dishonored about 15,000 members of the armed services for no reason. Anyone who respects those who serve should be in "orbit".

Are you saying there are 15,000 bradley mannings in the military?

I think you are way off the actual number

Given the piss poor fitness state of most Americans in general these days, including many in the military (relative to previous generations), it would not surprise me if sexual dysfunction issues were more common now than they used to be. One of the main causes of erectile dysfunction is poor cardiovascular health. There are guys 18 years old with arterial plaque these days out there due to a childhood of poor diet and low activity.

Let's see: You support open discrimination against people like you, and you defend that discrimination by accusing those who oppose it as ignorant. As in, discrimination against you is sensible, no discrimination is ignorant. What's next, Renae, making it easier to fire trans* people?

I've always wondered what self-loathing looks like. Now I know.

It's not being self loathing. It's not discrimination. I think it's an honest view from someone who's been there and know what's involved. As opposed to people who don't have a clue. It's also admitting the limitations that "people like her" (how bigoted is that phrase!) have in a situation like the military.

Okay.

A 2014 study estimated that 15,500 trans people were currently serving in the U.S. military. The Williams Institute, a think tank at UCLA School of Law that researches gender identity, came to that figure using a 2011 survey of 6,546 transgender Americans. Around 20 percent of that survey's respondents said they had served in the armed forces. There are currently 1.3 million active-duty personnel in the U.S. military and an additional 800,000 in reserves.

Using various extrapolations based on population estimates and rates of service for men and women, the Williams researchers concluded that 8,800 people were in active duty and another 6,700 were in the National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve. Trans people, the Williams report suggested, might even join the military at a higher rate than other groups.

If someone thinks they are a horse. Can he/she run in the Kentucky Derby? Will they sue the government if they aren't let in?

'Russia's debt is $885 billion, the United States is $20 Trillion.
Per citizen debt in Russia is $1.081 In the United States it's $61,271'

Could paying for every pet project of the Obama administration like reassignment surgery be a big reason why?
