An additional Few Billion is such a big deal ... huh.But handing over $ 150 Billion to
Iran { a state sponser of Terrorism } is just a day in the park ... righto Ringo.
Boggles the mind the degree of thinking that goes into message Boarding.
Like playing Chinese Checkers at the Old Folks home after cake and Ice Cream.

i understand that you can't deflect his lie that Mexico would pay for the derp wall. you should understand that i will hold you to that promise until i lose interest and stop responding.

This is from April of last year - Trump threatening a shutdown is not a new strategy for him.
Not sure how Pelosi can be blamed since the White House, Senate and House have all been GOP majorities.

Then negotiate with the donor class to get work permits etc.

How many illegals are going to get in while the wall is being built? It'll take years, probably several, at least.

Your example didn't include waiting years to turn the water off.

Trump's threatened shutdowns many times. What came across clearly to me today was that the Democrats will pass a bill and it's up to the Republicans to pass it or shut down the government.

I wasn't talking about who did what in the past, only what I think is a better approach regarding border security. I don't care if it's a Democrat, Republican, or whatever proposing a wall it still doesn't change my opinion about finding better ways to secure the border and discourage illegal migration.

...and those tunnels aren't dug by some El Salvadoran family with spoons; cartels have built drug smuggling tunnels in several areas of the southwest. They have the means to fund these kind of things, and getting people across via smuggling will likely increase with a wall.

I agree - immigration is like abortion. No one with power really cares about either issue, but they're good issues to keep the particularly GOP base in line and voting for Republicans. We can know this in December 2018 because the stories about Nunes and Trump hiring illegals didn't make a ripple in the news cycle. Of course they do, because they work hard, for relatively low wages, don't complain because they risk getting deported, and that's what employers love in workers.
