Our Supreme Court has at least three ideologues sitting on it right now. People that no doubt (in earnest) “consult” their faith to reach decisions they must reach as part of their job.I don;t see any preachers at the courthouse
Many people justify this by saying things like our nation was founded as a Christian nation, it’s on our money (since the civil war), in our pledge of allegiance (since the red scare in the 50’s), and that the founding fathers we’re Christian’s (a few were but most weren’t.)
Christianity as a religious entity is a top down authoritarian organization. The founding fathers recognized this by seeing what the failed experiments of the Puritans (and others) had produced, and intentionally steered us toward a secular form of government, because there was plenty of evidence for what authoritarian systems did to societies, both modern and ancient.
