Nov 14 (Reuters) - Three people were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Northern California on Tuesday and the shooter was killed by law enforcement, Sacramento television station KCRA reported.

A number of students were airlifted as a result of the shooting at Rancho Tehama School near the community of Corning, the station reported, citing a sheriff's official.

"I know of at least three deaths," Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston told KCRA.

Johnston added that the shooter was shot to death by law enforcement and that officers had been sent to multiple scenes in the area. He could not say how many people in total had been killed or wounded.

The faculty could have. The bright side is that Neal was engaged by goid guys with guns, before he shot anyone else.

A rifle in the hands of a hunter kills animals for sport and or food.
The same rifle in the hands of a target shooter kills no one or animal just puts holes in target.
The same rifle in the hands of soldier defends our country.
The same rifle in the hands of the police protects people and saves lives.
The same rifle in a mentally insane person hands kills innocent people.

The rifle has not changed and is not the problem.

The mentally insane who kill are the problem.

We need to address the problem in order to stop the killing.
We need to target and address mental illness. Only then will we solve the problem.

Most of these people are seeking the attention our media is giving them. So I am sure the problem will only get worse as long as we give them the attention they are seeking.

It is quite clear they are not addressing the mental illness that is the root cause of all this insanity. Which means they have no intention of stopping the killings just furthering their agenda. It is sad all the killings that will continue to happen until they decide to address the real problem behind all these killings.

There may be some truth to that but an attention seeker can't revel in the attention if he's dead and most commit suicide. There seems to be plenty of personalities traits as of late and I don't think we can point to any one or two behaviors and say, ah ha, that guy.
I agree with one thing. It will get worse.

Not at all they had the Pennsylvania rifle with a rifled bore that allowed them to kill the enemy at 3 times the distance of the British musket. They were the state of the art sniper rifles of their day. I think our founding fathers would be appareled at the way we have twisted the meaning of shall not be infringed. They would arm themselves with M-16's not AR-15's and taken back our government if they say how the people today are being taxed and our rights are being infringed by the government today.

I know. I have been a member of the NRA since I was 14 and took my first hunter safety course provided by them over 40 years ago. Oh and it was free. I have never had a gun related accident in my life. That is because I care and the NRA cared enough to train me to safely handle firearms. It is sad to listen to these people slander an organization they apparently know nothing about. What else can you expect from these type of people.

when you are dependent on who runs the government and you are hateful of the other party, it explains why leftwing hacks hate the NRA. they cannot come out and say they hate the NRA for mobilizing pro gun voters (who tend to vote against the politicians who push the creeping crud of SJW collectivism) so they have to pretend its because the NRA is responsible for usually left leaning criminals using weapons in violation of the law to harm others

There is no question these people are seeking the attention and notoriety that our media is giving them. Most of them are nobodies who now know they will be somebody thanks to our media.

It's pretty easy as long as it doesn't affect anyone you know. Which, I'm suspecting, will not happen with about a 98-99% lifetime probability. May the odds be ever in your favor! :thumbs:

Plus where are their programs teaching safe gun handling free of charge. The NRA has been actively doing something for decades to keep people safe. Knowledge and education make for gun safety not hate.
