I assume the story inside mentions separation among other abuses of these migrants' rights to seek asylum, which.is.the.big.issue., and why there is a call for more government lawyers, volunteers lawyers to oppose them, and more immigration judges.

Just looked it up, as can you... There are many reports of people being denied the opportunity to apply for asylum at ports of entry. When there is mass migration like this, other countries, and indeed the US, have set up the resources to deal with the large numbers, and then separate refugees from those who do not qualify for such status. Melania's jacket described Trump's attitude.

You could use another search engine if you wish, but a simple question: do you believe that asylum seekers were turned away or not?

Irrelevant. The fact of the matter is that there are children who are being separated from their parents. They're being held in cages, and the public has been prevented from entering the facilities. The few journalists allowed inside were not allowed to take pictures. Whether this one girl was separated or not does not change these facts.
