He is good, gets the right players, for the regular season anyway, but deals like the Scherzer contract have a huge possibility of biting them in the ass down the road.

Well, pretty much all MLB owners can afford it, they're billionaires. But, I'm saying business-wise it could cripple their team down the road.

When they're still paying Max Scherzer $15 million a year when he's 55 years old, that's gonna at least sting a little.

Aside from the shutout against Boston, Tanaka's been pretty average this season. Given up 3 or more runs in all but one other game. Hasn't struck out more than 6. Walking a ton. I wonder if he's hurt.

Flipping his bat when his team is down 5 runs. What a joke. A declining player whose hitting .200 hotdogging and making the game all about him. I can't believe the Blue Jays re-signed this malcontent.

Someone needs to punch him again. He is really bad for baseball.

It looks like the Nationals bullpen is a mess. I would suggest moving Strasburg in the closer role. Strasburg imo never has the making of a 200+ innings SP. Even if he did, I could see him tired in the postseason.

The Mets are a complete mess. I'm not sure how the Mets and Knicks ended up with such bad owners. In the case of Wilpon you have a corrupt family that made millions from Madoff claiming they didn't know.... ya right.

Bad ownership has trickled down. They continually make bad hiring decisions.

Angels are at Citifield this weekend. Mike Trout should be the face of baseball, but he's not. He's the best player in the game, and he's likable, he's GREAT with the fans. 2-3 minutes before the game is stating he's still signing autographs. Unlike Harper who fakes out the kids in the stands by pretending to throw the ball to them.

Problem is the Angels are awful. They are so bad Trout is playing in 2nd largest market, L.A., yet he's almost invisible. 2 time MVP, and the best player in baseball and few know about him. Too bad the Angels aren't a better team, and also not a good job by baseball either, not promoting Trout more.

If I were Brian Cashman, I would offer the Yankees top four prospects for Trout. Obviously the Angels would say no so I would than offer to exchange Albert Pujols contract for Jacoby Ellsbury's contract. The Angels would save a lot of money and Ellsbury is a better player than Pujols and 4 years younger.

Pujols's contract is probably the worse in all of baseball. And you want the Yankees to pick it up? You want the Yankees to pick up yet another albatross of a contract? Until 2021?
