Meanwhile, Conservative red states that consistently vote Republican are at 3.83%. If you look over the last decade or so you'll find it to have been consistently true that liberal blue states have had lower unemployment rates overall than red conservative states. Why would the states who are the most generous with welfare, food stamps, and unemployment have the lowest unemployment rates if what you believed to be true was true?
