Partisan Hate Is Becoming a National Crisis

Collude: to work together secretly especially in order to do something illegal or dishonest

I suppose because he asked Russia to illegally hack Clinton publicly it’s not collusion.

What you're afraid the Russians could find all of Clinton's 30,000 E-mails she destroyed.

You can thank Fox News for the partisan hate epidemic. They're the ones that made their business model. Now they've even got the president doing their bidding. Another reason why he needs to be voted out.

Yeah FOX told the liberals to hold up chopped off Trump's head on a stick. Fox is the one that made libs to say Trump was Hitler, I'm thinking of burning the white house down, loser, homavobe, dumb, moron, fool, joke, asshole, etc I could fill pages of hate for Trump. And you say all that is FOX News made them do it.

LOL, sorry, no. The Bernie people were the EXTREME LEFT. The "establishment Democrats" as you call them were still on the left. .

We're going to have to agree to disagree, because you and I are using different definitions...for everything.
The EXTREME Left are the Antifa, the anarchists, CPUSA...sorry but you're using a lexicon which is skewed.
And that's okay, but it doesn't change the fact that, using your lexicon, an ordinary Democrat is, to you at least, a pinko.

That's a confirmation of my original points.

Not sure what you think comprises a "mainstream conservative" but it isn't being a Republican.

Again, you just confirmed my points. By your lexicon, Ike Eisenhower and Dick Nixon are lefties. Bob Dole is a communist, and Barry Goldwater is too soft.

You might not BE a John Bircher, but if not, you should consider joining.

Respectfully disagree, which is why the list of actual real conservatives disavowing any support for him is growing exponentially every day. Donald Trump has effectively destroyed the Republican Party and remade it into a cult of personality.

My view is that there are four Donald Trumps: 1- the conservative republican who signed what the GOP congress sent him and appoints judges and cabinet members who will make things tougher on the enviornment and workers; 2- the (as Daffy Duck would describe him) “dithpicable” narcissistic human being who demeans women and various religious and ethnic groups to please part of his base as he insults their intelligence; 3- the betrayer of our values who admires tyrants and apparently would torture and murder as they do if allowed, while criticizing democratic allies; 4- the clueless guy/wannabe dictator who doesn’t understand/doesn’t care about the rule of law.

Before too long the cult of personality he has created will wear thin.

Never in my life, either. I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around the hatred. Oh, the Left will whine about how Obama was attacked, but it doesn't even come close to the daily barrage of hate toward Trump and every single person associated with him or conservative or Republican.
There is a growing epidemic of hate crimes against Trump supporters and an agenda to shut down down and shut them up, by any means necessary.

I disagree to a point - the things that were put out about Obama were pretty bad. Michelle was called an "ape in heels". Obama was lynched in effigy. There was a lot.

Too late; partisan hate started right after Trump's election , fueled by the liberal media world-wide.
The start of hate geared at Trump and his supporters was a well-organized global "initiative".

Just think reasonable for a moment: how many times have there been protests and riots in the US of A when another country elected a president some of us did not like?

"Following Trump's election to the presidency, students and other activists organized larger protests in several major cities across the United States, including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Portland and Oakland. Tens of thousands of protesters participated,[56][57][58] with many chanting "Not my president!" to express their opposition to Trump's victory in the Electoral College (He lost the popular vote by a margin of 2.1 percent).[59] Protests were also held in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Philippines, Australia and Israel with some continuing for several days, and more protests planned for the following weeks and months. ..."

Sorry, but this is an organized hate from the left ... and the left will never ease off from their hate. Just look at the responses on this thread ... (grin)

Again, I disagree - it was out in force with Obama.

I was around for some of that. It's starting to look like the lead-up to those times...and definitely some more sinister undertones going on, especially with greater income and wealth inequality than we had then.

The 60's were pretty shocking. First JFK was shot - then MLK and finally RFK.
Didn't George Wallace get shot in there somewhere too??
Vietnam. My BIL was sent there. I had a french teacher in high school, that spent an entire class explaining why we shouldn't be there. I told her I thought this was supposed to be a french class and not opinions. Needless to say I failed french
We were lied to to get us into Vietnam. Same way we were lied to after 9-11.
I never quite trusted the government after all that.

Yeah - fun times the 60's.

Trump is to blame - 95% then.

I'm not sure Trump is to blame all by himself. How did he get elected?? He puts something out there that people like?? We all wanted something different. We were tired of same sh*t different day. I believe that had Bernie won the nomination instead of Hillary - he would have been elected.

Shouldn't everyone be bothered by the division? Why does it have to be one way or the other? Why can't we all just meet in the middle and live in peace?

I think most of us are very concerned about it. So often tho when we post on this site - there is no civil discussion at all. It just ends up one snarky comment after another.
I know both sides do this.

LOL. You know, one lesson I've learned from life is that it is almost always the side blaming the other side that is the one who is actually at fault. Trump never did anything except win the election from the annointed one and the left just can't deal with it. They so much wanted another eight years of Obama and continued liberal policies that it turned their stomach over and they have been throwing up ever since.

I liked Obama but no - we have term limits for a reason. Trump needs to remember that. According to Michael Cohen, Trump will not go out quietly. He's joked about it - he sets it up - "the election is rigged", maybe we should be like Japan and have a "president for life". I saw today (a rumor) that Jr. is considering a run in 2024. No dynasties either. Barf

When Ronald Reagan won 49 out of 50 states vs Walter Mondale, the Democratic Party freaked. They decided they had to abandon their platform which had been so completely rejected by the people. They came up with a middle ground: Socially Liberal, Fiscally Conservative.

When Pat Buchanan announced he was running for President, he was considers a far right candidate. By today’s standards, he’s barely a moderate, and almost a Democrat.

Before Watergate, Richard Nixon and Ted Kennedy had a national health care plan they were arguing over. The argument wasn’t IF the government should dictate and pay for but how much should the government should dictate and pay for.

My point is that the political spectrum shifts. What is considered extreme can shift to become the middle and vice versa. So ultimately the middle is a fluid concept that is constantly shifting.

In some ways I think the Democratic party is like the GOP used to be.
Newt Gingrich was the one that decided working with each other was a bad idea.
Now we have the Freedom Caucus.......

If you really want to see organized hate, as well as advocating violence, just go back and watch any of Trump rallies, or for a more recent example, feel free to post his threat to use the military and his biker supporters to invoke physical violence upon his fellow Americans should his 'tough supporters reach a certain point of disdain.' No other President in modern times has stooped to this type of divisive hate rhetoric to incite violence pitting Americans against Americans.

Democrats were never fiscally conservative.

If you look at the last two Clinton and Obama - they both worked on the deficit and straightened out what the previous ones had screwed up.
To say that the GOP is now fiscally conservative is a joke.
Now McConnell and Trump want to cut Medicare and Social Security- we paid into those programs - Great give me back the money I put into it plus interest and I'll invest it myself.

You sound pretty chummy with Putin. Where were you when Putin confided this, the DC DNC campaign headquarters? Do democrats really have a hot line to the Kremlin like some may have been "overheard to say?"

You really don't listen to much besides Fox do you.

You can thank Fox News for the partisan hate epidemic. They're the ones that made their business model. Now they've even got the president doing their bidding. Another reason why he needs to be voted out.

You're missing the point: The continual blaming is part of the problem.

We all have been witness to the left's hate for over the last 2 years, and that's a fact.

I'd say the right hates more than the left - who's shooting up people of a different faith? Is that the left?? I don't think so. Who's the one saying when a woman was run over by a car by a right wing individual associated with the KKK that there are fine people on both sides??
Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump. Do we want him out of office?? Most definitely but lawfully because he's guilty as sin or through election.

You libs still can't find the truth, Mueller had Manafort and Mueller was going to make him spill his guts against Trump. Wait now Mueller has Flynn, and Mueller will turn him for sure. Damn we got Cohen now Mueller will squeeze him until he pukes out what Mueller wants him to say. Plus others. All led nowhere. I know it's extremely hard for libs to deal in facts, working with facts would bust your bubble. Your fantisity will end.

How many years has Manafort been sentenced to. Gee he had to be guilty of something.
Trump is so dirty - he can't even have a foundation anymore. He is so cheap he took 7.00 to pay for his sons Boy Scout Fee.
It's easy to blame the "libs" but your own ignorance is just willful at this point. You have no curiosity to read anything for yourself - all you do is sit back and scream "FAKE NEWS". What's going to happen when you find out we were right??

But that should tell you something.
Not defending the nastiness, but I suggest that in some cases, the Trump hatred might be founded in something deeper than just sheer resentment of Republicans by liberals.

I did not like Nixon much, but the man did open the door to China during the Cold War...brilliant. He did give us the EPA, and he was ready and willing to put together a national health care system if Teddy Kennedy hadn't been such a stubborn bastard.
He did end the Vietnam War.
He deserves credit for that stuff, regardless of whether or not I liked him.

I did not like Dubya, liked him even less after he got started in Iraq, resented the fact that SCOTUS seemed to "select" him.
But after a while I resigned myself to the fact that we were going to have to survive as a nation with him in the White House.

I'm here to tell you, in all sincerity, that I would have accepted almost any other candidate from the GOP had Trump dropped out and Hillary lost anyway. And I accept full responsibility for Dems losing both houses in Congress. We have no one to blame for that but ourselves.

This isn't about liberal hatred for conservatives, not for me anyway.
Trump has even destroyed you guys' party.
I can't imagine it any other way.

I'm with you on this one. Completely.

I think #3 and #4 about covers it. :)

What you're afraid the Russians could find all of Clinton's 30,000 E-mails she destroyed.

Actually you'd be wrong. If she did something wrong - most of us are fine if she's called out on it. A crook is a crook is a crook. The right is completely ignoring any wrongdoing by Trump.
Do you just think a GOP senate and congress just let Hillary off?? They were foaming at the mouth to get something on her. Do you really think yet another investigation is going to turn something up on Hillary??
Members of the GOP spent 6 years digging up dirt on Bill and all they came up with was a blow job in the White House. That's it. Are members of your own party that dumb??

I'd say the right hates more than the left - who's shooting up people of a different faith? Is that the left?? I don't think so. Who's the one saying when a woman was run over by a car by a right wing individual associated with the KKK that there are fine people on both sides??
Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump. Do we want him out of office?? Most definitely but lawfully because he's guilty as sin or through election.

Over broad on right and left there. So lets break this down one at a time
  • who's shooting up people of a different faith? - that'd be nut jobs all over the spectrum, lets we forget the Bernie supporter shooting up a congressional baseball practice, and the New Zealand self proclaimed 'Eco Terrorist', Socialist, etc. - long, confused, and contradictory manifesto there
  • Who's the one saying when a woman was run over by a car by a right wing - extremist right, not what one would consider the political right
  • 'fine people on both sides' - a quote taken very badly out of context, the full context, which I believe has been posted in the forum a number of times now, doesn't support the conclusion that many are making of it (typical with anything Trump)
  • Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump. - I call BS on this one. All one has to do is watch the TV over the last 2 years
  • Do we want him out of office - this is not hate, it's just the same as the right wanting Obama out of office
  • because he's guilty as sin - opinion, as there were opinions of the same on Obama

Add to that the constant barrage of out of context and miss-quoting, cried of '**** Trump!', actual physical violence against Trump supporters . . . the list goes on and on.

Meh. To characterize it as 'all the hate is from the right' is either ignoring all the hate from the left, or condoning all the hate from the left and not considering it as hate at all.

The EXTREME Left are the Antifa, the anarchists, CPUSA...sorry but you're using a lexicon which is skewed.

That's a confirmation of my original points.
No, I'm not I'm using standard terminology from outside the LEFT's lexicon.

Find where I've ever called anyone (other than myself) a pinko. You really aren't as big an expert on MY terminology or ideology as you think.

Huh? How in God's name do you come up with this nonsense? You really ought to stick to explaining your own ideology because you're failing miserably and explaining mine.

You really want to hear Truth, Born Free ? Here is some TRUTH for you. Mueller isn't empowered to force anyone to 'spill their guts' or 'turn anyone.' If someone flips, spills their guts, or turns, they do it of their own accord to save their asses. And your claims regarding what these men may have revealed to Mueller leading nowhere is merely biased speculation on your part. You haven't a clue what they may have told Mueller may lead to. Everything you just attributed to the left actually applies to YOU...until or unless you can present Mueller's findings. None of us will be holding our collective breaths waiting for you to put forth Mueller's findings. Can you present Mueller's findings and present them here for the rest of the forum to see what you claim to have seen ? I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict you can't/won't because you are simply whistling dixie and making claims you can't prove with verifiable facts. Feel free to prove me wrong. Good luck with that one. You're going to need it.
