Partisan Hate Is Becoming a National Crisis

Actually you'd be wrong. If she did something wrong - most of us are fine if she's called out on it. A crook is a crook is a crook. The right is completely ignoring any wrongdoing by Trump.
Do you just think a GOP senate and congress just let Hillary off?? They were foaming at the mouth to get something on her. Do you really think yet another investigation is going to turn something up on Hillary??
Members of the GOP spent 6 years digging up dirt on Bill and all they came up with was a blow job in the White House. That's it. Are members of your own party that dumb??

Yes, some of these people DO THINK that the GOP Senate and Congress "just let her off"...that's part of where that whole
Q-Anon/Deep State nonsense comes from, don't you realize that?
Think "Nineteen Eighty-Four"...Hillary is Emmanuel Goldstein.

And if SHE'S not, George Soros is, and she works for him!

Soros Goldstein.jpg

The truth is much simpler...Hillary is no better than Donald Trump when it comes to stuff like e-security.
Neither she nor Trump even know how to USE a modern computer, they are both computer illiterate.
Trump only knows how to Tweet and Hillary only knows how to use that antiquated Blackberry of hers, which became so outdated that the Federal Government told everyone to stop using them, and refused to certify new updated federally certified servers for Blackberry support.

So...she no longer was able to USE her old BB on a federal government server, and because she's so goddamn arrogant, she decided to be stubborn and use her prehistoric obsolete BB on her own server.

Just stupidity and arrogance, that's all it ever was.
And the funniest thing is, now that it's out about Beto having belonged to a youthful hacktivist collective, the Republicans are foaming at the mouth over it.

Over broad on right and left there. So lets break this down one at a time
  • who's shooting up people of a different faith? - that'd be nut jobs all over the spectrum, lets we forget the Bernie supporter shooting up a congressional baseball practice, and the New Zealand self proclaimed 'Eco Terrorist', Socialist, etc. - long, confused, and contradictory manifesto there
  • Who's the one saying when a woman was run over by a car by a right wing - extremist right, not what one would consider the political right
  • 'fine people on both sides' - a quote taken very badly out of context, the full context, which I believe has been posted in the forum a number of times now, doesn't support the conclusion that many are making of it (typical with anything Trump)
  • Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump. - I call BS on this one. All one has to do is watch the TV over the last 2 years
  • Do we want him out of office - this is not hate, it's just the same as the right wanting Obama out of office
  • because he's guilty as sin - opinion, as there were opinions of the same on Obama

Add to that the constant barrage of out of context and miss-quoting, cried of '**** Trump!', actual physical violence against Trump supporters . . . the list goes on and on.

Meh. To characterize it as 'all the hate is from the right' is either ignoring all the hate from the left, or condoning all the hate from the left and not considering it as hate at all.

What's the body count for violent American Leftists in the last forty years?

I'd say the right hates more than the left - who's shooting up people of a different faith? Is that the left?? I don't think so. Who's the one saying when a woman was run over by a car by a right wing individual associated with the KKK that there are fine people on both sides??
Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump. Do we want him out of office?? Most definitely but lawfully because he's guilty as sin or through election.

Trump uses his cell phone - apparently with no real security on it. Someone could stand in the Rose Garden and hear what he's saying.

Most of the left does not wish ill of Trump.

The man is the head of an organized crime syndicate.
Yeah, I do wish ill on him, the way any rational person would wish ill on the head of an organized crime syndicate.
I also wish the same for Gotti, Gambino, Putin, anyone who derives the bulk of their power and fortune from dealing in racketeer activities.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying that one wishes ill for the head of a corrupt racketeering organized crime outfit.
It's fun to watch Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino portray Henry Hill and Paul Vario in "Goodfellas", and it's fun to READ "Wiseguy" by Nicholas Pileggi, but if you were to meet the real Henry Hill or the real Paul Vario, it would NOT BE very much fun for you.
And you'd be right to wish ill will on them, because I assure you that they don't see the likes of you and me as anything more than bugs to be squashed if you're in their way.

So who exactly have they killed??? You really think the right didn't do the same to Obama?? WOW

Scarborough is a former Republican - what does that tell you.

I'm kind of done - you guys don't want a real discussion - all you want to do is HILLARY ermagerd her emails, You're not at all open just the usual - but Hillary - but the left. Must be sad to be so hateful.

Stand in the Rose Garden?? How about "someone can fire up a copy of software that is freely available and listen directly to him from anywhere in the world, right now, in real time".

I don't wish him dead. I wish him out of office - insane asylum...............jail. Yes.

He doesn't hold back on Twitter either. It's unbelievable the stuff he says. He tweets that we're getting out of Syria - which is news to his "generals". It's all going to be used against him in a court of law. Somehow some way.
Or he will resign.

Not saying there are not legitimate concerns and reasons for people to be mad. Don't agree with the more sinister undertone though. As a reminder we had the three kids shot in Mississippi who were Freedom Riders. We had police turn water cannons and dogs attack peaceful protesters. The national guard shot and killed four kids at Kent state. There was the 1968 police riot at the democratic convention. In NYC union workers attacked kids protesting the war with their work tools. Hitting girls in the head with them.

Yes, all true, but in many respects, what is happening today is worse than all of that. See below.

So no not even close IMO. I don't care what news you turn into, today it is entertain and opinion less fact. Builds a portrait sort of like a movie you can't turn off. They keep their audience by making it seem like this has to be the end of the world...B.S.

Well...this would certainly be one of those sinister undertones I mentioned. News is now, for the most part, self-consciously about creating a propaganda narrative that few people see through. While there was plenty of propaganda going on in the 50s and 60s, it wasn't as bad.

Not saying I like what is going on, but I have lived through materially worse in America.

A few points:

1. We have police shooting unarmed, non-resisting human beings rather frequently these days, and sinister undertone number two (number one was the point about news, above) is that we've become numb to it--they get away with actual murder and we continue to do nothing.

2. I think we could match mass murders today with riots in the 60s and 70s and get pretty close in number and frequency of incidents, and a considerably higher body count these days...and sinister undertone number two comes back into play. The '68 Chicago riots involved lots of really angry people (and hence are more impressive at first blush), but relatively few injuries and no deaths. The Charlottesville demonstration/counter-demonstration is comparable in a number of respects, except that while no one died in the Chicago riots, three people did die in Charlottesville (Heather Heyer and two Virginia State Police troopers who died in a helicopter crash whose cause has yet to be established, except that we know it didn't collide with anything mid-air).

3. The major issues that confronted us in the 50s and 60s were racism and the rise of the military-industrial complex and attendant corruption. The major issues we face today are wealth inequality, environmental devastation, and a decay of our social fabric.

Protests and legal action against legalized racism and discrimination (i.e. Jim Crow laws) was bound eventually to work in the 60s because the necessary individuals had realized that the founding assumption of racism--that non-white people aren't fully human and hence are not entitled to equal protection under the law--is false. So, despite massive entrenched social forces, the repeal of Jim Crow and enforcement of equal rights was bound to take place.

On the other hand, the principles that underlie our Constitution and our economic systems actually protect wealth inequality and also protect the social institutions that destroy the environment. Back in my corporate days, when the effects of the Kool-aid were still pretty strong for me, I witnessed and participated in policies and actions that short-circuit market economics and reduce the power of workers in ways that most people would consider downright evil--but the rub is that they were all entirely legal, and protected by the Constitution, as it turns out. It is very unlikely that we will be able to confront these issues in time before they lead to massive disruptions...and sinister overtone number 3 is that news sources typically avoid giving these stories coverage proportional to their threat, and in fact corporations even now interfere with primary education to make it less likely people get the kind of education necessary to figure out what's really up.

I agree - it's been insidious and stealthy for the last 40 years - really started coming into play more openly when Obama was elected.

The Koch's the Mercers have been plotting this for a very long time.

They are key contributors to the media-surge in election-financing of political campaign publicity.

Because it works! Yes - Americans watch more TV than any other country on earth. (See here.)

The BoobTube helps Replicants at election-time because we Yanks swallow the mediatized BS willingly.

If one is looking for real political-debate it is not with the blathering on the TV that they will find it. The truth is in the functional-evidence (economic data) and that bores the pee outta some people.

They prefer idiotic one-liners in Debate Forums ...

I'm not sure Trump is to blame all by himself. How did he get elected?? He puts something out there that people like?? We all wanted something different. We were tired of same sh*t different day. I believe that had Bernie won the nomination instead of Hillary - he would have been elected.

Sanders , as an alternative to Trump, would have been far superior.

I do not believe the Dems have thrown that out the window at all.

Being partisan is a tactic that when used by one side voids it's use by the other.

Sure they have. Both sides think bipartisanship means the other side coming over to your side.

Sanders , as an alternative to Trump, would have been far superior.

Too bad for Sanders he did not have greater support from the commie wackos in 2016. He might have fared better against Trump if Hillary had not stolen the primary from him. Now Sanders' minority base is being divided by new democrat green deal wackos of every brand, type, color scheme and sexual orientation.

Why do you hate reality?

You mean the leffist realities of ifs, ands, buts, Trump may have done this, Trump could have done that, Trump probably did this, Trump possibly did that?

I think most of us are very concerned about it. So often tho when we post on this site - there is no civil discussion at all. It just ends up one snarky comment after another.
I know both sides do this.

You really don't listen to much besides Fox do you.
The truth according to who?? Fox?? Try something else.
.........and this is why we can't have nice things.

many radical leftist democrats are borderline insane. They will never be happy because they typically reject God and righteousness for the devil and hedonism.

Trump uses his cell phone - apparently with no real security on it. Someone could stand in the Rose Garden and hear what he's saying.

Deranged leftist democrats are driven mad by Trump's carefree freedom to do what he thinks is right in spite of leftist democrat opposition.
