Who Supports the NRA?

Nanny state like guarding fetuses? Yes, the GOP are definitely about being the nanny...as long as the thing isn't born yet.
 
If the OP ever bothered to do any real research, instead of posting things just to be a chain puller, he would attend a few gun shows and see that there are people in attendance from pretty much every ethnicity.

He would also know that there are a rising number of African American shooting clubs. Many of these African Americans are just as resolute in backing the 2nd amendment as all these "old bald fat white men" that he felt so cute to adding in hopes of triggering a few of the members on here. That is because this is how this particular OP rolls on here. He chain pulls.

The OP would also know that there is a rising number a Liberal/Progressive/Gay gun clubs who are also just as adamant about the 2nd amendment.

It's not a 'blatant lie' to say that gun owners freak the **** out when someone even suggests banning military grade weapons of war. What's next, rocket launchers, Long-range artillery and hyper-sonic missiles? There has to be a line drawn between defensive civilian weaponry and military grade weapons.

The easy solution is to not purchase any weapons deemed illegal, that's all it takes.

you should know better than trying to raise abortion issues with me. and there are far more GOP politicians who support abortion rights than there are democrat politicians who support the second amendment. There is not a single person running for the Dem presidential nominee who is not a gun banner, and some like Bloomberg, and Biden, are hard core bannerrhoid operatives

It's just as easy to grandfather people who purchased their weapons legally instead of making them criminals for owning a firearm that now scares the weak minded

AT FIRST, but you know and I know it's just one more step to ban all guns. IF they get their ban for ARs and AKs etc. and they will find out it won't make one little bitty difference. Then it's all semi auto (dbl. action revolvers included) still no difference, so ten it's full on all guns.

one leads to the other because banning certain types of guns-on the pretense it will decrease crime-requires additional steps no matter what. If crime decreases-then the gun banners will say we need to continue to restrict gun ownership further and if the ban on the sales of certain types of guns doesn't work (and it never does) then they will have to say more severe , measures are needed. The gun banners are pushing a civil war

I suspect fifty years from now, there will have been a civil war over guns and most of the gun banners will no longer be advocating gun bans, assuming they survived.
