What does Trump’s staying power in politics say about the country?

You may be claiming to be a independent but when's the last time you voted for a republican candidate for President?

Bush - 2004. Oh wait, McCain 2008.

When even McCain had to defend Obama from what Republicans were becoming, it was time to start recognizing what was happening. And today? Trump champions all the extremism, all the nasty, and all the ignorance that the Right has become. I would be more concerned with how you feel compelled to vote for this, simply because partisanship demands it.

Trump bond reduced to $175 million. Almost 40% less. I guess the original was just to "Get Trump". Another strike against a corrupt judge, AG, and legal system in NY.
the Pig Circus continues- even if it's hooves were clipped

It's not just the Democrats who will lose power if Trump wins. It's also the GOP wing of the Uniparty along with multinational corporations and their investment firms (Globalists) who will lose power.

That's a very powerful set of people who have a vested interest in ensuring that Trump does NOT become President.

There are TRILLIONS at stake.
Ahhhh, yes, the fabled "uniparty" to which this image defies explanation, all thg=e wisdom of your former Publix produce aisle manager,
notwithstanding. Solve the imaginary phenomena by promoting the most racist POTUS in memory, as "the solution!"

yeah, the infrastructure act (more jobs/better communities) and the CHIPs act (more jobs/better national security) and low unemployment and higher wages and protecting a woman's right to choose really sucks.

did you know that pretty much every republican has underperformed in elections since Roe was overturned?
You forgot more and higher taxes and adding to our nation's deficit with whole sale pork spending by both parties.

The two are intertwined.
But not the same.

One just wants to engage in international commerce. The other wants to control international commerce, international policy, etc.

So, you actually believe Trump is some kind of Marxist that the Capitalists of this country oppose?
No.

Trump is not against capitalism. He against those who want control. He is America First.

We have had cultural issues in this country since at least the confederacy.

You forget more and higher taxes and adding to our nation's deficit with whole sale pork spending by both parties.
dude. trump is responsible for a HUGE portion of our total National Debt.

Americans are growing ever more sick of progressivism. Nobody but a nut really believes men can be women, the border is anything but an invasion by illegal and dangerous folks, climate change is exaggerated, crime is out of control with no consequences for many criminals, our energy needs can never be met by wind/solar, our military is here to defend not to push social justice policy.
The least educated white Americans are growing ever more sick of progressivism. In 2020, Trump lost 19 of the 20 highest educated state voting majorities. No state majority in which 36 percent or more earned bachelor's degrees or higher voted in the majority for Trump.

That is interesting considering the republicans hold the Senate where those nomination are voted on.

LOL! Hold, "this". And don't ignore that Trump did not nominate diverse candidates, in the first place, so confirmation is an irrelevant argument.

Dec 5, 2023 WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Kamala Harris broke a nearly 200-year-old record for casting the most tiebreaking votes in the Senate when she voted Tuesday to advance the confirmation of a new federal judge in Washington, D.C. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a

I really like you....Crime is not down...

Lie.

2022:
According to the FBI statistics, Murder and non-negligent manslaughter recorded a 2022 estimated nationwide decrease of 6.1% compared to the previous year...the estimated number of offenses in the revised rape category saw an estimated 5.4% decrease...Aggravated assault in 2022 decreased an estimated 1.1% in 2022....but Robbery showed an estimated increase of 1.3% nationally.

2023:
New FBI statistics show overall violent crime in the U.S. dropped again last year, continuing a downward trend after a pandemic-era spike. Property crime also ticked downward about 3% in the nation as a whole.

2024:
New FBI statistics confirm previous indications that crime in the U.S. declined significantly in 2023, continuing a post-pandemic trend and belying widespread perceptions that crime is rising. Murders dropped 13% in the last three months of 2023 compared with the same period the year before, according to FBI data released this week. Violent crime overall was down 6%. According to FBI statistics, violent crime has dropped 8%, while property crime fell 6.3% to what would be its lowest level since 1961.

HOWEVER, hate crime is up! Wonder why? Maybe it has something to do with Republicans generating eight years of irrational hate for the non-white "Kenyan Muslim," who dared be President, followed up with Trump's legitimizing alt-Right extremists, enraged Republicans sending powder to and attacking Democrat politicians, prosecutors, and judges, and today's Republican fascination to brand Mexican immigrants as "rapists, murderers, and terrorists" who "poison the blood." Of course, these hateful accusations fly in the face of the facts that violent crime dropped by 8% and property crime fell 6.3%.

I thought you said trillions were at stake?

If he’s not anti-capitalist he would be aligned with them. Who do you think owns the trillions?

The reason it rose under Trump was because of stimulus money paid out to anyone who filed a federal income return. Which was approved by both parties in congress. So there is equal blame.

More likely liberal hatred of Israel and hate crime against American Jews and anyone brave enough to wear a MAGA hat.

LOL! Trump's a victim, you're a victim. The oppressors of RWE are always the least powerful and influential, the darker skin, foreign hoards
massing on the southern U.S. border.

Again the ignorance of history and the willingness to go along with outright propaganda of the Orange Man Bad mob is on full display.

President Lincoln was subjected to incredible abuse with criticism of his ancestry, appearnce, education and intellect. He was depicited as an ape and a racoon in editorial cartoons. Newspapers called for his assassination.

Still, Lincoln never had to deal with an opposition party aided by entrenched bureaucrats bent on carrying out Resistance, endless investigation bent on destroying his allies, 2 partisan impeachments and a lawfare campaign directed by a weaponized DOJ. Trump hasn't been assassinated yet. But, he was right to comment on the blatant campaign of hate fomented by Democrats.

*Rump fraud conviction still stands.

He’s openly telling you he will become a dictator, or try to, and a majority of the country prefers that to Democratic governance.

What does this say about the country?

From the OP. I really have no idea how you arrived at this conclusion.

Trump glided through the Republican Primary, and he didn’t face a real challenger. Haley won a couple contests but, Trump never felt the pressure at all. All of this despite 4 felony cases, being found liable for sexual assault and defamation, being proven in court to be a financial fraud, losing and then trying to steal the 2020 election, and flirting with dictatorship the entire way. Yet, he remains the odds on favorite to win the Presidency this November.

He’s openly telling you he will become a dictator, or try to, and a majority of the country prefers that to Democratic governance.

Says a number of righties are as vulnerable to Reality Star manipulation, as Lefties are to Hollywood Star manipulation. Brings to mind an old saying "The best argument Against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter." There really Must be "something in the water".

Trump is not against capitalism. He against those who want control. He is America First.

So...telling his Party to kill the border security Bill was about putting America first?! I thought that Mexicans were "invading" our country so that they could rape and murder you? Also, why didn't Trump just "close the border" in 2017, 2018, 2019, or 2020? I mean, he says that's all Biden has to do, right? Oh, and creating fake electors to create "confusion" for Pence, so that he could just declare Trump the winner, before whipping his cult into a frenzy as they tried to physically steal it for him?

Seems that Trump is only about Trump first. I could go and on, but what's the point? The man constantly begs you to open your eyes and you keep them shut for him. Stop fooling yourself, already. It's boring.

I did.

Wrong.

Trump is anti-globalist.

The Globalists will lose trillions as well as their enormous control.

As will the Capitalists. Why do you hate capitalism?

He's wrong. MAGA terrorists are not the majority.

Damn...you just threw a PILE of deflection against the wall!!

Sorry, none of it sticks.

You are dismissed.
