For me, John McCain was a true American Hero. The other, a TV reality show host who happened to become president.

Well, I agree John McCain was (past tense) a great man. Now either his senility, or his brain cancer changed him. He became wishy-washy. He should have retired years ago, and he would still be loved by more today, than now.

Come 2020 the battle ground states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn, and Florida will go back to blue....Independents are not in favor of how Trump is doing and that is how Trump won those states...And the fact Trump will not be running against someone who was almost as unpopular in Clinton...(I say almost because Clinton did win the popular vote...)

A lot of senators, athletes and others hang around a bit too long and it shows. I don't hold that against McCain however. McCain was one to usually listen to the wants and wishes of the people of Arizona even if that put him at odds with the Republican Party and its hard core. That in my book is what a senator and representatives are suppose to do. Represent those who sent you to Washington first and foremost, party should be further down the line. You'll won't find that much these days, almost all our elected officials are party firsters, the people whom they were elected to represent, further down the line.

I'll agree McCain and other stayed around a bit too long. That isn't unusual though.
