[W:549] Nfl 2018

Re: Nfl 2018

You should be worried about Jacksonville breaking Brady in 1/2

Brady is done. It'll be really noticeable this year.

Re: Nfl 2018

You talking about the league MVP? Guy that just broke the SB record for yards thrown?

He should have retired on that note. He's going to be noticeably bad this year. It happens to the best of them. Age wins again.

Re: Nfl 2018

So the Giants trade JPP for basically a 3rd round pick. There's no doubt JPP hasn't been the player he was before he blow off 1/2 his hand in a fireworks accident. But still, for a 3rd round pick...

Gettleman is a serious dude. This is just me talking but if I was Odell Beckham I wouldn't buy a house in the NY area. I think Gettleman is a no nonsense type guy..

Gettlemanh has a great eye for football talent. he is not inclined to over pay for it

Over rated, no hands and fumble prone. There won't be a new tuck rule to recover gramp's fumbles.

I would really hate to see him get seriously hurt. And, if he sticks around one year too long, he will.

No one wants to see anyone hurt. But it's gonna be fun watching him with the mobility of a late Marino and the dropsies.

It's coming. For sure.

Re: Nfl 2018

Newly-acquired Eagles DE Michael Bennett has been indicted for pushing past event officials during SB 51, including a 66-year-old paraplegic woman in a powered wheel chair who'se shoulder was sprained, so that he could gain unauthorized access to the field in order to congratulate his brother Marcellus for his victory in SB 51. After being told by officials that he was not authorized to use the tunnel, he reportedly asked if they knew who he was and said he could "own this bitch" before shoving past them anyway. There is no video, but there were witnesses including a police officer. Bennett could face up to 10 years in prison because of the woman's injury and "elderly" status under the law (65+). He hasn't been arrested yet because he's currently overseas, but it's expected that he will turn himself in (and post bond) when he returns.

Even though the incident happened over a year ago, neither the Seahawks nor the Eagles were aware of it or the impending criminal charges before they traded. Regardless, sorry Eagles. :(

So.....

Michael Bennett is being arrested for something that happened over a year ago. If the police officer thought this was a serious offense, why didn't he arrest Michael Bennett on that day?

This is the police being petty for what Michael Bennett did in Las Vegas. The pigs are sticking together and sending a petty message to Michael Bennett.

Again, if Michael Benett is committing a felony and the policemen is witnessing the felony, why not arrest him then instead of year later.

The Bennett brothers have always been horrible people- even when Martellus was with the Bears I didnt like him. Seems they are living up to their reputations again.

Martellus was fine with New England. Chicago was a toxic environment. A lot of the players that have left Chicago have become big-time contributers on Super Bowl teams.

Yeah, a narcissistic nut surrounded by cheats and liars. I guess he felt at home there.

In tough times, the Patriots do the right thing. I am proud as a Patriots fan for having the best owner in sports:

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft provided the team’s plane to fly the families of the 17 victims and other injured students of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting to Washington D.C., the team's spokesperson said.

“Not only did their friends and teachers get shot and killed, other friends shot and injured . . . most of them, they had bullets flying over their heads,” Kelly told the Washington Post “This is not fair that they have to deal with something like this at their age. They wanted to go to Washington and be heard, and so I felt it was our obligation to help them.”

Robert Kraft and the Patriots are 100% Class act!

Yeah, I had the same questions. Police said the delay was due to having a high backlog of cases and the relatively low priority this case was given. Even though they were the ones to bring charges, not the injured woman. To my knowledge they have not explained why the witnessing officer did nothing at the time. Interesting theory that this could be revenge for Vegas, but I'm not one to easily buy into such things. More facts are needed of course, but right now it looks like he was being an arrogant, self-entitled douche.

FYI I am not a Michael Bennett fan. He is basically a fake activist. If you fight for social justice, you cannot act like this.

But he is still a good football player and coaches love him. That's the difference between him and Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick, even before the kneeling incident was becoming so hated by his teammate his offensive line STOPPED blocking for him.

:lamo A dead man!

Re: Nfl 2018

The Rams sign Ndamukong Suh to pair him with Aaron Donald.

OOOOOH. That line is gonna hurt some quarterbacks in the NFC West.

Russell Wilson and Sam Bradford will end up in body bags after the game.

Re: Nfl 2018

So are the Giants going to trade Beckham? Or offer him a contract? Or not offer him a contract and he ends up sitting out next year?

IMO they should trade him, NO wide receiver is worth this much nonsense. But here's the thing..IF the Giants are set on going another year or 2 with Eli, he's going to need someone to throw to. And for all of Beckham's baggage, he does make ANY QB look better. Eli has NEVER been that accurate of a passer, and as he gets older he's going to be less accurate, so having someone like Beckham, who can catch anything near him helps Eli out.

IDK if Beckham is worth all this trouble though.

LOL thats assuming Suh isnt gonna coast and take it easy.

No problem. We have D.J. Fluker now! :)

But yeah. Russ' time to throw better get down to < 1.5s. Meanwhile, I'm hoping beyond hope that this will be one of those "great on paper but not in reality" situations. At the very least, the Rams should have some cap challenges coming up next year.

Re: Nfl 2018

Probably a good time to trade gronk. Could be perfect in la for a first round pick
