We've been shopping ET for barely more than that with no takers because it's a 1-year rental. Then the Pats sell an ok WR as a 1-year rental for a 1st round pick. To the Rams no less. Assholes!!

IDK what Dez will get. Last I heard Beckham wanted to be the highest paid player in the NFL, so what's that? Some QB's are making 25-27mil a year? So Beckham wants more than that. Both are out of their minds. Having good receivers is important, but they are in no way the most important player on the field.. As you mentioned Dez isn't a star anymore, and neither are as good as they think they are, so neither are worth anywhere near want they want.

As you mentioned Dez isn't a star anymore, and neither are as good as they think they are, so neither are worth anywhere near want they want.

I think Dez could go as low as 4 base with incentives to 8. He'll probably be overpaid by someone, one year to prove himself around 7 base.

I wonder what idiotic move the Bears are going to come up with this year? Are they again going to move up the draft order for one or two places again for the loss of several of their draft options? Like last year when they moved up to take Trubisky. Something that wasn't a great success last season. They had a disappointing five ad eleven season, with Trubisky and his receiving core ending up dead last in passing yards.

And what will the Patriots do now they traded their heir apparent away, the anointed one Jimmy Garopollo. Their replacement for Brady who is yet again not going to retire and probably the reason they traded him away last season. So will they trade their 2 first round picks for a higher first round pick and go for a new talented quarterback or will they keep their places and go for a decent quarterback later in the trade. Brady himself was not a high draft pick, he was number 199. Brees was number 32 in his season. Luck was a number 1 pick. Russell Wilson number 75. Kirk Cousins 102. Matty Ice was picked 3rd. Flacco 18th. Stafford picked at 1. Bradford was picked at 1. Cam was picked at 1. Andy Dalton at 35, Kaepernick at 35, Garoppolo himself was picked 62 by the Patriots. So I am not sure the Patriots will trade up to get a good QB, it seems the have found in the past good QBs later down in the draft.

But there were also high number QB picks who are not household names, like in 2007 when Jamarcus Russell was picked first by the Raiders. He was picked ahead of Calvin Johnson, which was a big mistake in retrospect I would assume. The Raiders could have had him but chose to not go for megatron but Jamarcus Russell.

Too early to tell if he's a bust or a good or merely serviceable. Another two seasons down the road at least.

sorry, like the bears even though they are not my team, I just hope they act smarter this year so that next year the offensive line and the receiver core will achieve more points.

I hope so too. The Bears have a new head coach who seems highly regarded, they retained their very good defensive coordinator, so it will all rest on Trubisky now- can he get better? We will know this coming season.

Rumor has it the Hawks are considering the Cowboys' 2nd rounder (50th overall) for him. I'd hate to see him go, but I hope it happens. We're in desperate need of 2nd/3rd round picks to give us a chance at a decent draft. I hope we can trade down twice while getting out of the 1st, that should net us another late rounder.
