Immigrants fleeing hellish conditions for a chance at a new life? They don't matter.

I was addressing the thread title which included the term "white conservative", even though the subject has nothing to do with race whatsoever.

Now explain how "race" is relevant, or have enough integrity to admit your support of its use is totally superfluous.

As long as the government tax payers continue to provide an unending safety net there will always be a certain percentage that will take advantage.

Shameful and contemptible though it is, there is a certain percentage of those who are the beneficiaries of charity who lie and try to game the system too.

Agreed. And there are people who cheat on their taxes. If something can be cheated or scammed, someone somewhere will do it.

Agreed that this is part of human nature. But it seems particularly egregious to try to cheat those charities who are trying to serve the poorest of the poor. Of course, I also don't understand those who steal from dollar stores. I mean, why not shoplift from high-end stores?

Not everyone lives near or has access to high end stores.
Also there are people with psychological impulses who shoplift.


Kleptomania is the inability to refrain from the urge for stealing items and is usually done for reasons other than personal use or financial gain.

kleptomania is classified in psychiatry as an impulse control disorder.
