My point was that your right to your own body stops when it starts to interfere with the unborn's right to life.

The unborn do not have a right to life. They never have had in the history of my country.

abortion is good... y'all need to deal with it.

Hundreds of years go, slaves had few (if any) rights, too. Maybe our decision to not confer rights on the unborn is a mistake.

It would be a much bigger mistake to deprive a woman's right to bodily autonomy.

Technically I never said women should be banned by law from having an abortion.

How can the unborn have rights without violating the rights of women?

Technically, how would that work and still a) not ban abortion and b) not make women back into 2nd class citizens again (like: slaves)

Technically, direct answers with legal focus would be appreciated, since the only way to change abortion is thru the law.

If it was your call, would you ban abortion?

Probably not. I would never force women to do anything they don't want to do, but I would mandate that abortion providers inform the woman that what she is about to do is the murder of her own young.

That would be malpractice for blatantly lying to a patient.

Neither do I. That said,if a provider blatantly lies to a patient, by definition, that is malpractice...end of story

Except he is not lying. Abortion *IS* murder.

Post the legal statute that validates abortion is murder. If,indeed, abortion is murder, every abortion clinic would have been shut down by the government long ago,and prisons would be filled with providers of abortions,as well as the women who received abortions. (fact)

The laws merely say that abortion is not a crime, they do not say that abortion is not murder.

It is implied. Otherwise, there would be a legal statute defining abortion as murder, and the legal penalty for committing said murder. No such statute exists, therefore, abortion is not murder. ALL murders are crimes. ( legal fact )

It's not good to go by the basis of "it's implied". I can just turn around and say the laws imply that abortion is murder, but that would not have gotten us anywhere.

Nope..It's implied because there is no legal statute that states abortion is murder. Correct ?

Yes there is no legal statue that does that, but no, it is not implied. When you say things like "imply", it means people are interpreting the laws in their own subjective way, which is never good.

Nope, it's this simple. Anything that is NOT illegal is implied to be legal. If you disagree, please cite a 'specific' exception.

I never said that abortion is illegal. I said the laws cannot decide for us whether abortion is murder.
