Placing blame on the President doesn't solve the crisis today and that is what he is trying to do and 60% support him. Nothing he does or says is going to change your mind. there will be plenty of time to assess blame when this is over, now is not that time as it serves no purpose

nope, a business can sue the city or state if they are fined or lose their permits over not producing what the state wants...this is why the president holds the power for a national emergency...this isn't a state emergency, it is a national one...

To explain the debt you have to understand the budget first. there are three parts, discretionary spending, Mandatory spending, and debt service. Discretionary spending is what the President controls, 2020 that is 1.47 trillion dollars. Mandatory spending is entitlements like SS and Medicare, Debt service is interest on the debt, approximately 500 billion dollars.

Taxes were created to fund those items, discretionary expenses are defense, VA, HHS, Congress, Transportation, Education, Commerce, etc and taxes that fund those were FIT, CIT, Excise taxes. Those taxes generated over 2 trillion dollars in revenue to fund that 1.47 trillion in discretionary spending. FICA(Payroll taxes) were created to fund SS and Medicare

Now you tell me how 2 trillion dollars to fund 1.47 trillion dollars creates trillion dollar deficits??

I don't see any reason to continue this discussion with you as placing blame doesn't solve the current problem nor is it constructive, there will be time for that after the crisis ends and rather than fund solar energy, the arts, bail out unions, I prefer the conservative approach which is why I will continue to support Trump. All this anger of the stimulus is irrelevant as both parties support the stimulus, the difference is where the stimulus money goes, to producers, businesses, private sector and not takers like the Unions

At today's White House coronavirus update Trump disclosed some very disturbing reasoning. He's inclined to make decisions based on his own personal grievances. Will he go so far as to let people die because a governor has apparently disrespected him?
