By now the truth is obvious. The president is a jerk. He is irrelevant to the current crisis, except as he follows the advice of advisors and does and says things we hope will be helpful. I repeat, he is a jerk. He was handed the opportunity to look like Churchill during the blitz, or LBJ during the civil rights crisis, or W after 9/11. He has blown it so far, but he has a chance. Donald, don't seek praise or claim you have the right to praise like you did at that Orwellian cabinet meeting. Do the right things, humbly, (horrors!) and praise will waft over you.

U-6 in January 2017 9.3% vs 6.9% today? Wow!! 2.4% better U-6 obviously meaningless to you

Part time for economic reasons, 5.7 million January 2017 vs. 4.2 million today? Looks to me that incredible job growth you claim was boosted by part time jobs. Part time for economic reason jobs when the recession started 4.8 million, 5.7 million when Obama left office

good god; can't you see this is an extraordinary situation which can't be faced by individual states. If one state makes a bad decision, the virus escapes. What are you going to do - figure out which states are dumber and build walls around them to protect the rest of us? This is a NATIONAL crisis. If we were at war would each state decide whether or not it should support the cause and if not withhold citizens from the armed forces?

Another liberal newbie here, you do realize that there is a waiver part of this law that forces food stamp recipients to work??? You have a problem with the gov't putting strings on a food stamp program that requires people to work?? Do you just read headlines and not the complete article?

Here we go again, another liberal out of touch with reality and context, now run away and play in traffic. Context shows that the jobs created during the Obama term were PARTTIME JOBS. do you know the difference between a full time and part time job??

Stunning loyalty and ignorance of the Obama record. Any idea what the U-6 unemployment rate is or any idea what part time jobs for economic reasons are and how they and discouraged workers affect the employment numbers?? Didn't think so, stop making a fool of yourself based upon issues you don't understand
