Trump appears to show Sharpie-altered hurricane map

just like Obama didn't know we only had 50 states not 52.

I like to delete every part of a post after a retarded and sycophantic lie is told in defense of Trump, like that.

First, Obama said "57 states".

Second, Obama owned his misstatement. He didn't draw seven extra states on a map with a sharpy and show it to the American people to try to show he was right to say "57 states".

Stop licking Trump's ass. It's an ugly look and it can't be hygienic.

:lamo

The pathetic loser drew on a map to try to corroborate his bull****. But of course you lot have to come snivelling to his defense, ready to tell any retarded lie.

He literally doctored a map because he was so unbelievably insecure about being seen as wrong in a prediction.

WHO DOES THAT?!
The guy who supposedly "owns the libs"? :lamo

You once again prove that you have no clue what you are talking about.

up until about 10 pm tuesday or so they honestly had no idea where the storm was going to track to.
i know because i was watching what it was doing all night. In fact now i have to go pull the storm shutters off
my windows. So if the experts don't know where it is going to track i don't expect the president to.

also prior to monday it was supposed to slam straight across the state of Florida.

It was 57 states, not 52, and by golly that gets mentioned on DP every time Trump makes a booboo. I think I have seen the 57 state thing about 100 times since Trump took office (on different boo boos by Trump)

i mean i could list about 1000 other things that obama said that was completely stupid but well i dont' feel like google searching them.

i mean how about you didn't build that someone else did.
or they cling to their bibles guns etc ...

i mean that point is that if her logic holds true then well half the morons that are elected shouldn't be president because at some point in time or another
they all say something stupid.

52 or 57 it doesn't matter the fact is he didn't have a clue how many states were in the US and by the person i was
talking to that automatically disqualifies him as president.

you mistake my post. i am not defending anyone i am simply pointing out the *yawn* that this thread is.

Even if you are a Trump supporter you should be able to laugh at this. The president had a map altered with a sharpie because he didn't want to apologize. There is no reason to come to the defense of the mad king on this one.

just like Obama didn't know we only had 50 states not 52. i mean i could go on and on about the endless amount of things every president said that was stupid to say but that would be a waste of time.
I mean how can you honestly be president if you don't know how many states are in the US.

then again we are applying your logic to this so i hope you are ok with that.

hence *yawn*

actually all of the FEMA units and everyone was in place a few days ago so i think
he was pretty well prepared to handle whatever happened.

good thing for us the hurricane spun itself out and died over the Bahamas.
simply got a bit of hard wind and rain and that was it.
i have seen thunderstorms that were worse.

Yes, you could go on, and you will go on.

Obama knew how many states we had. He made a mistake in a moment of exhaustion. A mistake that Trump supporters bring up over and over again with each new illustration of Trump's genuine ignorance.

Trump genuinely was surprised by the existence of Cat-5 hurricanes even though three had come barreling toward the U.S. while he was president.

His Alabama comments may have been mistakes -- possibly understandable mistakes though he kept repeating the mistake. But now instead of admitting a mistake he is trotting out altered photographs to try to show that it wasn't a mistake.

And you support this truly ignorant president who is incapable of both learning and of admitting mistakes.

Every person, every president makes mistakes. But Trump stands alone in the scale and frequency of his mistakes. There are many sad things about this -- Trump choosing to wallow in ignorance and you choosing to support such an unrelentingly ignorant person are two.

Go ahead and "but Obama" again. Whatever you need to do to convince yourself that Trump's extreme ignorance is in the realm of normalcy and not a national crisis.

I will leave you to it.

excuses for his stupidity don't fly according to you. so you either apply your same standard across everyone or you don't apply it at all.
he was an idiot and said 57. so by your own logical application he wasn't worth being president.

Trump genuinely was surprised by the existence of Cat-5 hurricanes even though three had come barreling toward the U.S. while he was president.

That is because they are very rare that one occurs. most usually get to a cat 4 there have not been that many cat 5 hurricanes more so if you don't watch for them.
trump lives in NY i don't expect him to know very much about hurricanes.

His Alabama comments may have been mistakes -- possibly understandable mistakes though he kept repeating the mistake. But now instead of admitting a mistake he is trotting out altered photographs to try to show that it wasn't a mistake.

Actually they were not that off since as of Sunday into monday they still didn't know exactly where it was headed as it stalled itself, his map was right for a prior prediction that they had issued which showed it going straight across central florida.

And you support this truly ignorant president who is incapable of both learning and of admitting mistakes.

NO i support i don't expect him to know everything about hurricanes and hurricane paths and tracking.
i do expect him to know how many states are in the US.

Every person, every president makes mistakes. But Trump stands alone in the scale and frequency of his mistakes. There are many sad things about this -- Trump choosing to wallow in ignorance and you choosing to support such and unrelentingly ignorant person are two.

Not really he is on par with the stupid **** that presidents say.

Go ahead and "but Obama" again. Whatever you need to do to convince yourself that Trump's extreme ignorance is in the realm of normalcy and not a national crisis.

I will leave you to it.

if you don't like your own criteria then well that is on you and no one else.
you are the one that set the criteria until it bit you.

that or at least apply it equally not that i knew you would.

every president i know of has said stupid ****. happens all the time.
hell even people running for president say stupid ****.

it is happening right now as we speak but i bet you won't say that they are unfit for the president will you?
just pointing out your hypocrisy.

I was about to say that you are angrier than normal today, but it seems that anger has become the norm.

Trump is an idiot:

That is the recurring opinion of Donald Jenius Trump.

There are two kinds of Americans: The majority that agree with you NT and the minority like … Cough Drop … that will make excuses for everything he does right up to the point of hitting the ground after jumping off the cliff tRump led them over.

"I know I'm falling, tRump said it wasn't much of a drop … off the Grand Canyon … he knows what he's doi… splat!!!!!!!"

Are you talking about Biden?

I am on record on this forum expressing concern about Biden's fitness. His decline has been rapid and shocking. I hope he will lose the primaries. I will vote for him if he is the nominee because anyone is better than Trump. But Biden's "gaffes" are more than normal and he looks ill. I've said so more than once because I don't deny reality like people do who are presenting Trump's mental deficiency as something which is not cause for alarm. And I'm not a Democrat. I voted against Obama twice. I'm now voting for Democrats because it's that important to get rid of Trump and to provide resistance in the legislature until we do succeed in getting rid of Trump.

Now, really, goodbye. The excuses you make for Trump's inexcusable ignorance are ... wrong. You are wrong. You are in the minority though, with Trump burning bridges in the states where he got his surprise electoral win. So hopefully Trump will become simply a sad chapter in history very soon.

This is why I can't trust the president.
If he had just let it die at his original statement or said my statements were based on a map from 2 weeks ago this thing has been going on for a long time.
A simple error could be credited no harm no foul.
The president of the United states came on TV with a sharpie altered map....that's just a ****ing lie and anyone that says it's an error are in a cult.
That can be the only answer.

Yeah, Trump in his spare time drew up another chart.. You guys are amazing - and not in a good way.

Spare time? isn't that what the 16 hours of Executive time is? Besides that extra half circle took an aid 5 seconds to draw.

obsession is a bad trait to develop and have.
not the first time a president has said or done something
incorrect won't be the last.

*yawn*

It's actually a violation of federal law to knowingly issue an altered or inaccurate weather forecast if you present it as issued by a US weather service.

18 U.S. Code § 2074. False weather reports said:
Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecast or warning of weather conditions falsely representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the Weather Bureau, United States Signal Service, or other branch of the Government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ninety days, or both.

BS...on Sunday Trump was giving a briefing from FEMA's offices with the original unaltered NOAA map IN THE BRIEFING. In its unaltered state it showed the projected path, and the cone of uncertainty none which hit Alabama. That is Sunday. This is Wednesday when he holds up the same NOAA map, now altered WITH A SHARPEE.....today....Wednesday.....4 days later!

Early on, one of the possible trajectories for the storm did take it across Florida into the Gulf and Alabama would have been affected.
No, it didn't.

That map suggests there was, at most, a 10% chance that the southeast corner of Alabama would experience tropical-force winds. Trump posted his Alabama Tweet two days later. By that time, NOAA was already projecting that Dorian would go up the coast, and was not going to affect Alabama in any way.

So, you have basically two choices.

1) The White House is so incompetent that they couldn't find a chart which backs up Trump's assertion.

2) Trump wasn't paying attention and/or got it flat-out wrong in the Tweet; as usual when challenged, lied and doubled down; showed a blatantly faked map; and now, his ardent followers are swallowing his bull**** hook, line and sinker.

Take your pick.

(Do I even need to add that if a Democratic President made this kind of error, conservatives would be screaming bloody murder about it? I don't, but I will anyway. ;) )

And not the first time that Trump has suggested he never makes mistakes.

C'mon, Donald, admit you are human, albeit a stable genius, that you did hear of category 5 storms, that you were wrong about the Central Park Five. Anything, we'll take anything that shows us you are not a malignant cyborg shipped here by Putin.

So is lying to the American people that a hurricane hit in alabama when it didn't.

Not to mention that it's a crime.

But, hey. It's Trump. Nobody in their right mind believes anything he says anyways.

If you don't expect him to know everything about hurricane tracking, why are you OK with him presenting his own altered data? Shouldn't he defer to the people, who made the map in the first place, who do know about hurricane tracking, and not alter the map himself?

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between mistakes and deceit. Here, it's obviously deceit.

OMG, TRUMP PREDICTED THE HURRICANE WOULD HIT ALABAMA. CALL OUT THE NATIONAL GUARD, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.

You might need to get some more material. THis is getting pretty stupid.

How hard is it for you to admit that this isn't a failed prediction, but deceit to cover for a failed prediction?

Hmmmm....

Would Comrade Trump be considered, "other branch of Government service?"

I just wish everyone could see what this is. First it's a total waste of time which has been blown way out of proportion on both sides with everyone including the president caught up in taking sides that all could of been avoided if once again he could just have said "oh, I guess I was wrong".

Second, it proves there's no one in the White House in a position or willing to tell the president that doubling down on this may not be such a good idea. Nothing changes and I doubt anything ever will with this guy or his staff.
