Trump appears to show Sharpie-altered hurricane map

According to the national weather service it would not have impacted Alabama at all.

Not sure who at the national weather service is saying that, but its not true at all. Had the storm stayed on its originally projected path, Alabama would clearly have been effected.

Yes, we understand why some people would flounder with so much information being thrown at them. Especially people who aren't even able to remember the existence of Cat-5 Hurricanes and have to learn about them all over again every year.

The thing is ... people like that shouldn't be president. They should be in a protected environment where others look out for their interests. Not in charge of a nation.

*yawn* is the only response to this nonsense.
:violin

anything else?

Why do you consider a forecast three days ago to be outdated? Or to allow for the possibility that the storm would not turn as they predicted since it hasn't behaved at any time as they have predicted?

That map was from Thursday, 6 days ago not 3, so yes it's very outdated considering it did not follow that path.

Trump altered the map and you are defending it.

Why are you defending someone taking out an altered version of an outdated forecast?

We all know the facts: Trump claimed Alabama would have gotten hit, the national weather service debunked it, and now he's trying damage control.

The messiah and his image must be protected at all costs!

Nope. That's a year old map of Hurricane Florence posted by a site that frequently peddles in fake news b/c Alabama sucks.

Also Presidents have access to the latest updates.

Have it your way though I'm pretty sure you can't back that up. TDS is 100% more unreasonable than President Trump will ever be, and it is hateful and malicious to boot. So be it.

Not sure who at the national weather service is saying that, but its not true at all. Had the storm stayed on its originally projected path, Alabama would clearly have been effected.

Then show us projections or statements from a weather service that showed Alabama would have been effected by Dorian.

Can you be specific? What should I back up? The image that other posters already reversed searched? Or the fact that the National Weather Service already said he is wrong? Or do you think the President doesn't get the latest updates? Trump is lying too much for you to keep up it seems.

And you think those experts were projecting that the storm would stop dead in central Florida? Rather than continue on it's projected track to the northwest where Georgia and ALABAMA lay in wait? Seriously?

Or maybe it was altered to extend the storm's track to clarify Trump's assertion that Alabama was a potential victim? Any chance of that?

I agree fully that the sharpie was used to clarify Trumps assertion that Alabama was a potential victim.

That is why I am laughing at him, his supporters and feeling sorry for the US in general.

The president has such a fragile ego, that weather charts have to be altered to "show that he is right". To me that is hilarious, the most powerful (or who should be) person on the planet is so fragile emotionally that a simple weather chart has to be modified in an amateurish way to protect him.

Or he is trolling and that is just as hilarious, as the most powerful person on the planet to be a troll, actively trolling the media and half the people in the US is as idiotic as it is hilarious

I know that's your only response. There's really no good response that a Trump supporter can give for why they support a leader who is so stupid that he doesn't even know about Cat-5 hurricanes existing, in spite already having seen three approach America while he was president.

There is no good answer that any Trump supporter can give for why they want someone so thoroughly ignorant and unteachable to be in charge in an emergency situation.

The sharpie line surely showed that. Trump is a stable genius and weather girl

So whose ego is more fragile? Trump or his supporters?

It's hilarious and sad.

And he's not trolling. It would be bad enough if he were trolling -- because that's outrageous behavior from a president. But he's not trolling. He's that thin-skinned and that much in need of coddling. His handlers know that they need to alter props like that to pacify him.

See post #10 which was pre-sharpie

I am not laughing at charts which show that AL could have been hit by the hurricane. I am sure it could have. I am laughing that there was a need to protect the president by marking that on the chart with a sharpie

obsession is a bad trait to develop and have.
not the first time a president has said or done something
incorrect won't be the last.

*yawn*

Early on, one of the possible trajectories for the storm did take it across Florida into the Gulf and Alabama would have been affected.

Could Hurricane Dorian make it into the Gulf? - al.com

He may have held onto his hunch about that longer than most, but honestly, that's the worst thing you guys can come up with to gig him on today? The amount of bandwidth, air time, and news copy that has been devoted to this single story is ludicrous. TDS really does have no reasonable limits.

:lamo

The pathetic loser drew on a map to try to corroborate his bull****. But of course you lot have to come snivelling to his defense, ready to tell any retarded lie.

He literally doctored a map because he was so unbelievably insecure about being seen as wrong in a prediction.

WHO DOES THAT?!
The guy who supposedly "owns the libs"? :lamo

That is just pathetic.

I'm utterly ashamed that this corrupt clown is the president.

I want real time polling to see how Alabamans are handling this. His polling support may not be so good there. Dems could win in 2020 and I'm not just talking about the House or the Senate.

just like Obama didn't know we only had 50 states not 52. i mean i could go on and on about the endless amount of things every president said that was stupid to say but that would be a waste of time.
I mean how can you honestly be president if you don't know how many states are in the US.

then again we are applying your logic to this so i hope you are ok with that.

hence *yawn*

actually all of the FEMA units and everyone was in place a few days ago so i think
he was pretty well prepared to handle whatever happened.

good thing for us the hurricane spun itself out and died over the Bahamas.
simply got a bit of hard wind and rain and that was it.
i have seen thunderstorms that were worse.

It was 57 states, not 52, and by golly that gets mentioned on DP every time Trump makes a booboo. I think I have seen the 57 state thing about 100 times since Trump took office (on different boo boos by Trump)
