Some People's Positions On Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment or assault. I would push back.
Not all men agree with either calling it that or pushing back. Which is why it is not nearly that simple. Perspective does matter here.

I am practicing just putting up with sexual harassment from women in modern times; they have a First Amendment, too.

I insist on a coin flip if they want to back me up against a wall and not take no for an answer.

Knew a guy, pretty small, especially for a machinist mate, married, ultraconservative Christian, was pinned against the wall in the machinery room by this petite red headed female shipyard worker and she kissed him. He went immediately to our Chain of Command and filed sexual harassment charges against her. It was amusing because most of the other guys were absolutely appalled he would do it. Most of the guys had been flirting with her when she came down to the plant. After that, she wasn't allowed back in our engine rooms, didn't really see her around the ship either, but we didn't leave the plant much during the shipyard, except to eat, head, and go home/to the barge/berthing. Not sure if she got fired or simply transferred to another project or shop.

Let's assume that men clamor for equality and natural rights at every opportunity. We don't "slut shame" guys; we argument shame guys. It is simply not dramatic enough for women.

1.)What equality or natural rights do guys claim not to enjoy?

2.)How are men argument shamed?

3.) Please explain the "not dramatic enough for women" claim because I'm not aware of that.

What or how does the First Amendment apply to sexual a harassment?

Any guy probably would if he had a bad attitude. I have been consciously trying to get over it but sometimes still find myself starting to develop a bad attitude before I realize it.

Guys don't get slut shamed. We get shamed for having lousy arguments. Women get slut shamed for having lousy arguments.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you is moral; ask any bakers in public accommodation.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. The baker wasn't being sexually harassed.

It makes plenty of licks of sense; it is about the subjective value of morals. Why is the baker even complaining if he was not even being sexually harassed?

The baker is complaining because he is a bigot who thinks that he can ignore the Colorado LGBT protection law if he can hide his bigotry behind the religious protections of the First Amendment of the US Constitution. The racist trash in the 1950s-60s made the same hypocritical religious arguments claiming that it was a violation of their 1st Amdnement religious rights to be required to treat black and interracial people on a level equal to white people.

I would not mind if a woman who didn't want to have sex with me got her girlfriend involved who was complaining she wasn't getting enough. And, if I was that woman's, "horrible boos", I may even consider a higher raise since she is such a team player.

Why would any man want to have sex with a woman who has already had sex with another man or even worse many other men?

Are you saying there is something wrong with that?

Does this mean that she might have cooties because she has had sex previously?

Should I feel the same way about guys who have had sex previously, or is it different from them?

You didn’t argue the point. [emoji848]

I wasn't invited to argue as there was no question to respond to. Instead I commented on the OP.

Some people on this forum seem to imply that sexual harassment is OK and acceptable.

To illustrate I posted 'some people's opinions on sexual harassment, namely a quote by a known and self-confessed serial sexual harasser whose supporters use many leaps of cognitive dissonance, as he himself did in that quote, 'to imply that sexual harassment is OK and acceptable.'

In effect therefore, I was agreeing with the OP, though some probably wouldn't see it as their preferred example since it doesn't involve a pedophile pizza parlor. Many people do indeed dismiss harassment as small stuff, both here on these forums and in the wider world, including the President of the United States and those supporters of his who give him a pass for so-called 'locker room talk.'

Most people got that straight away.

Any guy would do what? Nowhere did I say the guy had a bad attitude. He was actually a pretty soft-spoken good-natured guy. He was simply very much about his faith.

Personally I think you should feel the same way about men.
