As I've brilliantly and famous stated on here many times, the familiar death spiral goes something like.

Because of capitalism , wealth gets created. Then Democrats pounce and promise to redistribute form the wealth creators to the takers.

The foundations for a successful society become eroded.
The new generation raised in socialism has no incentives to work.

It's happening before our eyes in California.

Capitalism has been good to me. 30+ years at the same job, own a home, 5 cars, excellent healthcare, fat ass pension, everyday is Saturday, living a dream. All it took was some effort, good attitude, healthy living.

All of that I worked for. OMG, there's that dirty word again, WORK.

Poverty is not a moral vice. I am glad you had a good time. But when people had hard times, it is often not because they’re just stupid or lazy. People even smarter, harder working, and better looking than you have hit hard times. We are all vulnerable.

Sort of, since much of it was built and is being maintained by private contractors. It's Socialism in the form of sending federal government checks to folks simply for existing, or worse, as rewards for personal failure, that irks most folks.
