Just like trumps op/ed he supposedly wrote where he actually said that Democrats expanding of medicare to medicare for all would gut medicare. The trump sheep will believe whatever oxymoron this presidential moron puts out.

I'm just weary of the left ceding terminology to the right whose every effort over the decades is to redefine words to demonize people.

It's not really ceding terminology. There have been very bad socialist regimes throughout history in places like Cuba and Venezuela. If what you're offering is more like capitalism why not call it capitalism and give it a different modifier. Why not Democratic Capitalism as opposed to Laissez-faire capitalism? Isn't that both more accurate, and easier to market?

Socialism is a dirty word because that is the way the right wants it. I'm not for handing it over to them. Socialism isn't a dirty word in Europe at all. Bernie explains it just fine by comparing democratic socialism to those countries. Idiots on the right however do what they always do and conflate terminology because being at war with the dictionary has proven fruitful to them. I want that to stop.

I’m not sure what you mean. Every developed economy on the entire planet today is some form of social democracy. Including the US.

Well, I guess it depends on who you ask about the progress. I can see how from a white male perspective, nothing has changed or it has gotten much worse . But I think you might get a different response if you ask women, religious and ethnic and racial minorities, gays, etc... they might disagree with you. You know, all the riffraff.

I am a woman, and I am not old. I am white, though. I also own a business and give people jobs. I think things have changed for the better, after having survived Obama's terrible reign. I have a positive outlook for the future, unlike poor progressives who love paying higher taxes and having higher unemployment! Successful economy and capitalism are soooooooo evil!!!

The left does nothing but demonize the right. Just in the recent Kavanaugh hearings, Democratic senators said that if Kavanaugh were on the court millions would die and called Kavanaugh evil. That's just the recent examples of the one million examples, not to mention Hillary calling Trump supporters deplorables, and others calling the right racists, bigots, and misogynists.

Are you saying that there has been no progress ever in the treatment of women, minorities, and gays?

Are you against me #metoo movement, and think that women have overstepped their bounds recently and just need to go calm down?

I also own a business and the left's fight for $15 would have put me out of business so I was terrified in thinking Hillary would win. Ironically, if the minimum wage were raised to $15 per hour mostly only the huge corporations like Walmart, McDonalds, et al would survive. Many small businesses would go under.

Well what does that have to do with the Democratic Party and their policies? I think it is just evolving as a society. Remember, it is the republicans who love Liberty, and independence. They want equal rights for everyone. It is the left who has no faith in their fellow man's ability to run their own lives.
 
The metoo movement is a joke. Women in America are not oppressed in any way. Pretending to be victims and weak is not what feminism is supposed to be about.
