When we all became members we chose a leaning, I wanted to see how far which way the entire forum leans? I think its tilting left! lmao

It doesn't. It's about even. If we go just by the leans, it probably tilts slightly right, but lots of folks are either "undisclosed" or "undecided". It varies from time to time, but it's about even. Of course, those who lean EXTREMELY left believe that the site leans right, and those who lean EXTREMELY right, believe the site leans left.
 
I identify as liberal, but I do lean conservative in some areas.
 
Boo, no love for us libertarians. Guess ill pick independent. Wonder if a moderator has a stat for the leaning field. THat would be an interesting stat.

I list myself as conservative, but I am a fiscal conservative, on many social issues I am moderate.

I used to be more hard-core conservative when I first joined. Not anymore. My stances are pretty moderate nowadays. I haven't changed many of them, just the party and it's base went nuts.

This is why I hate the whole "Left" / "Right" binary. Most people would find they flop back and forth, depending on the issue....but it's a lot tougher to accept good ideas from "the other side" (yes, they both have them from time to time) if you include a binary political lean in how you identify.

I think that's why I've landed on "Progressive"... I know a lot of folks want to put it in the "Left" bucket, but really all it is is the willingness to look at new ideas to drive improvements. I'd rather take the best practices from both sides than have either side as a boat anchor around my ankle.

It's only leaning left because the losers have nothing else to do with their time than to be part of the resistance. And, the left in general have always been more loud mouthed than the right. They think the louder they yell the more it appears they are in bigger numbers than they really are. Being loud mouthed does give you more air time on the news. However, I didn't vote in the poll because there are not black and white lines. I call myself moderate right, which means I'm not moderate moderate and I'm not full fledged conservative either.

So basically the options are Conservative, and then 6 different words that all essentially just mean liberal.

You've made 19,309 posts per day over a span of a little more than two years. You would have needed to post approximately 24 posts per day every day for two years straight to get to that number. By comparison, I've made 2,601 posts and only been on the forum 5 fewer months than you. That works out to a little more than 4 per day.

You've spent roughly 6 times more time on this forum than I have since joining so if I'm a liberal loser what exactly are you?

That's a pretty good definition of me. I am fiscally conservative but when it comes to social issues I am a moderate - I'm not either liberal or conservative. I'm about right in the middle on those social issues. I think there are a lot of people who claim to be fiscally conservative but liberal on social issues and that does not describe me. The extremists on both sides are revolting to me. Right now, since Republicans own all branches of government, the far left nutcases are out in full force making asses out of themselves.

No, not really. Not at this point. The Republican Party at this point is nothing more than evil and ignorance. There's really no such thing as an idea coming from them at all anymore. The two major political parties at this point in time should be Democrats and Libertarians. But so long as racist religoius extremists control the Republican party anybody voting for them or anyone that isn't a Democrat is exclusively part of the problem.

Fact is, the right went nuts when Obama was president and now the left are nuts since Trump has become president.

Oh come on you could have chosen Conservative just for the poll sake, I too am not a far Right Conservative as I am pro Choice. I do not want Government involved in my life at all! I suppose I'm a Moderate Conservative, I want small Government, all my rights, pro choice, I want safer fuels but I want to drill if its necessary, I want a border wall immigration control, and Welfare reform.

First of all, if the shoe fits, wear it. If you don't think the shoe fits then what are you griping about? I never once said that the number of posts had anything to do with whether you were a liberal loser or not. But, I understand that liberal's brains are wired differently and that when sound goes in their ears, by the time that sound gets to their brains it has already changed from what it was originally. It's a birth defect that there is no treatment for and the right needs to be more understanding of the left's disability.

Mr Wonk, seeing your avatar may I ask what Trump has done that makes him a bigot? is it his comments on Mexicans that are drug dealers rapists? Upholding Immigration laws? Banning the same Countries Obama did from traveling here?
