The people of Libya ARE our friends, unlike the Iraqi's who side with Iran.
nice photoshop job.

The democrat controlled house and senate did not allow any open hearings or debate. They did not allow any republican amendments to come to a vote in either house. Obama promised to put the healthcare debate on c-span-----------:lamo
How is it I remember so clearly what the Republicans had to say about health care reform?
Get the government out of it,
Let the insurance companies compete across state lines,
This plan will lead to death panels, destroy Medicare, and raise taxes.
That's pretty much it.
some of that was said on sunday morning talk shows, but there was never an open debate in the house or senate. what they said about obamacare is coming true. Interstate insurance competition would lower premiums, the govt cannot manage anything efficiently, obama has taken 716 B from medicare, there will be rationing and everyone will be paying more either in the form of premiums, penalties, or the price of goods.
You are mistaken. BLS civilian employment shows about 800,000 more people working in September than in January of 2009.

It is a good point. Where are the jobs? Are you gonna blame Bush?
BS. Obama had a clear majority in the House and Senate for two years and here we are. BS.
If obama focused on job creation why are there fewer people working today than when he took office? sounds like failure to me.
you live in mississippi, your votes for democrats are equivalent to pissing into the wind and asking why the air smells funny.
We already have interstate insurance competition, Medicare has a lower overhead than private insurance, that 716 B was not "taken out of Medicare" but is the amount projected to not be spent on Medicare over the next decade, and we have always had rationing. Yes, we will be paying more for premiums. We have been paying more for premiums every year for decades now, which is why we still have work to do on the medical care system. Partisan BS isn't going to help, however.
My vote is me responsibility as a citizen, regardless of where I live.
The failuer was with the GOP in congress refusing to promote job growth so the economy would be bad during this election. Let's not forget that the GOP focused on making Obama a one term president rather than focusing on job creation and improving the economy.
Great, but your vote for obama in your state means nothing. Why not join the winners in your state and vote for Romney? Most mississippians understand what is at stake, how did they miss you?
talking points and totally incorrect. The GOP controlled house passed several budget bills that included jobs programs. Harry Reid would not let a single one of them be discussed or voted on the floor of the senate.
Yes, they wanted obama out, just like the dems wanted Bush out. nothing new there.
Maybe you can provide information on the Budget Bills the GOP passed.
I don't care that the GOP wanted Obama out. What I care about is they made it their #1 priority.
lol. Right. I don't vote based on what other people think or how they vote. I vote every year no matter if I live in a swing state or not. I wouldn't put my support toward Romney if my life depended on it. I know what is at stake in this election also. I disagree with most Mississippians.
geez, hairy. look it up. the house passed several budget bills, but Reid blocked all of them from being discussed in the senate.
Do you really think that the dems #1 priority was not removing Bush? I am not saying its right from either party, but its been going on for 200 years.
Did you ever think that maybe you are wrong and the rest of them are right? Exactly what has obama done to make you want 4 more years like the last four? No Romney bashing, I want to hear why you think obama has earned another term.
Most Mississippians vote based on religious views. They assume God wants them to vote for Romney.
Obama brought us out of a horrible economy and the economy is picking up. I would like to see that progress continus. I think we are on the right path. I like most of what Obama has done while in office. I see him as a strong leader that wants to make the US a better place, not a place were we are beholding to the corporations.
WRONG, We do not have interstate competition on health insurance. If you work for a corporation that has offices in many states then your carrier may not be in your state. But if you look for individual health coverage, you cannot buy it in another state.
The 716M taken from medicare will eliminate the medicare advantage program.. The program is used by 20 million seniors and provides much better coverage than basic medicare for a very small premium----How can they do that? The program is administered by insurance companies and does not therefore have all the waste that occurs in a govt beaurocracy.
The 716M taken from medicare will also reduce the payments for certain services which will force some doctors and hospitals to close their doors.
Any senior that votes for Obama has rocks in his/her head.
Aren't health insurance companies allowed to sell across state lines?
I had health insurance in Texas from a company in Oklahoma. United Healthcare sells insurance in all 50 states, I believe. Why are people that are against health care reform claiming that health insurance would be cheaper if companies were allowed to sell across state lines? Also, if their claims is true, who would regulate it, the states through their insurance commissioners or the feds through a national insurance commissioner?
United Health care sells in many states, but not all by any means. The theory comes from the idea that there would be more competition. There is a BlueCross in every state, but what if you lived in Texas and wanted to buy the California BlueCross (which is a completely different carrier).
The theory is that you'd have more companies available to you. The theory doesn't realize that it's hard for a company to sell everywhere in the US because they don't have the data from every state.
BUT, then what'd happen (if companies could easily sell anywhere) is a company like Anthem would start gaining market share in every state and drive the smaller companies out of business. So initially you'd have lots of competition and then eventually it would be all in the hands of the big players. That's probably one of the reasons that Cigna is making a strong push into the indiviudal marker just in the last couple months. Prior to this they were non-existent.
