Nearly Half Of The US Homeless Live In California

Nearly half of the U.S.’s homeless people live in one state: California - MarketWatch

I'm finally beginning to see the liberal light. I now understand that this is what liberals want - non workers mooching off of the federal government, living in a generational cycle of poverty where they can't even afford housing of any kind. And, open the borders to more illegals so they can join the crowd. If liberals wanted to fix the problem they could fix it at the state level but they won't because this is the way they want it and then blame it on the feds and on Trump and the Republicans.

I know what we will do to solve the problem!

We will spend millions more on the Homeless problem like Calif does for years now. Just a few more shelters is all it will take!

Not!

It is a hoot when Trumpsters come here weekly and try to make California out to be a 3rd world country... lol They have what? The 5th or so largest economy in the world.

And what do the Trumpster Republicans have? Mississippi which is 50th in everything in the US and does mooch Fed money... If it wasn't for their mooching off of California and NY, etc. Mississippi and many other red states would be a 3rd world countries...

That's just what I said. Liberals actually want capitalism and they want income inequality because it gives them something to harp on without actually wanting to do anything about it. California has the biggest income inequality in the entire country and that's the way they want it. They want to brag about their large economy and how much people want to live there, while allowing that income inequality and homelessness everywhere.

Republicans don't give a rats ass about Vets. They just use them as pawns. Unfortunately the poorly educated Republican base believes the GOP lies.

LOL. Clearly the liberal Democrats don't give a rat's ass about homelessness and income inequality.

Since many of the homeless are veterans, it's good to have you on record spitting on them so at least we can all see the person you are.

And what do Democrats do to solve the homeless issue? Nothing. It gets worse and worse under liberal policies and then you've got the nerve to tout California's great economy.

Maybe the fact that California is America's most populous state might have something to do with it.

Because they have nothing to offer the Dems..... The illegal border crossings however are rich with potential votes.

Best economy ever, though. No one should be homeless. Everyone is working.

Have conservatives solved the homeless problem in their states?

It is liberals who claim they have the answers but their answers make the problem worse. And, their answers are to have open borders, to make the situation even worse.

per capita and the numbers are still out of whack. And it's not all about the weather. I mean, where else can they have poop zones and provided sanctuary?

If you were homeless what state would you want to live in? You would want to live somewhere warm with lots of rich people for begging.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Let's see. Would I want to live in a state with such a high cost of living, that I would never have a chance to get off the street or would I rather live in Mississippi, where the bar is much lower to get off the street? And, would I rather fight with 500,000 other homeless people for survival, or fight 50,000 other homeless people for survival?

Leftists are in the process of fashioning Kalifornia into a socialistic paradise. Can't you tell? :)

This is what socialism is. You have the elites, and skid row. The middle class are fleeing the state, or being taxed into poverty.

But but but the reason for failed liberal policies is not going far enough. The solution for failed liberal policies is to double down on what didn't work and if that doesn't work, double down again. And again.

Just because they are in Cali doesn't mean Cali caused it. People who are homeless tend to go where it is warm. And near the ocean. Or where they think they can find work.

Liberal policies don't work. The very things they fight for, income inequality, are made worse by liberal policies.

Or perhaps the other state bus their homeless to California, to get rid of their problem and make it California's

Personally I think California should give each homeless person a bus ticket, and $200 to move to Kansas. The $200 can only be accessed 2 weeks after being in Kansas.

The homeless go to temperate climates. In Feb its deadly to be living on the streets in NYC or Boston. Thus they go to warmer climates. In addition California has some of the highest realestate and rental prices. Think about it, use some common sense instead of bashing those that govern CA.

Look at the home prices and rental rates for most of the State. That is a partial cause of the problem.

Guess all those illegals voted for Republican Arnie eh ?

You keep telling yourself that while drooling over Hannitys latest book cover.:lamo

What does your spitting on homeless veterans have to do with California or Democrats? Democrats aren't the ones calling homeless veterans garbage or lazy. That would be right-wing nutjobs.

You guys are a hoot and love to project

Hannity is unwatchable

since CA is the "richest state in the nation" why the hell can't they take care of their homeless? raise taxes on the rich and give those people a living wage! show us how it's done! take some of those gaudy million dollar homes and set up temporary housing! whats the hold up?

put your money where your mouth is. all I see is leftist bitching about conservatives and our states, yet you have the richest state in the nation to prove your willingness to help with, you don't need conservatives, so WHY are there even homeless IN that state?

Homeless people don't go anywhere, unless they are bused there. Only idiots would go to California to find work that could give them enough money for shelter. You're better off sweeping floors for a living in Arkansas where you can have a place to live. There are homeless people in Silicon Valley that earn 80K a year. What's the point if you can't live on 80K per year?

It used to be an easy solution back when most of the homeless were just plain old bums, drunks, druggies and hobos.
You just threw them in jail for a while.

Now that the middle class is being clear cut, and most of the lower middle class factory jobs have been disappearing, people who used to be able to just go get some "Joe Six Pack" factory job can't find work anymore, and the ranks of the homeless swelling to include a lot of minimum wage working people who compete at downtown "day labor" outfits to scrape by as well as they can. There isn't enough room in the jails anymore.

But Rethuglicans lump them all in as bums anyway, just as they lump refugees in with border jumpers.
Rethuglicans like simple sound bite explanations and simple sound bite solutions.

It is liberal policies that create the homeless and the only thing they do is double down on their failed policies and wonder why the problem keeps getting worse.

You should check to see what your house is made of before you start throwing rocks. California pays the most in Federal taxes, and your good state of Kentucky is the fourth neediest state in the country, receiving 40.9% of state revenue as Federal assistance.

So have fun finding things to dump on California for, but that state is primary reason why your state is able to function.

Oh, and Kentucky is 11th for most firearm-related deaths, while California is nearly at the bottom of the list at 42nd.

Fix your state!

Kentucky does not have a million homeless people.
