NCAA Tournament 2017

I hate to say it, but I don't see anyone beating Kansas.

They play like a good NBA team. They score over 90 points at will.

Zags are next for the X-men.

I have a hard time seeing them pull off that upset. But, I didn't expect them to beat AZ either.

That sucked.

I had to go to bed 30 minutes in. It didn't look good for Ohio at that point. They must have really turned it on late in the second half.

I think WVU's press makes everyone look vulnerable.
I have never understood why college basketball teams have so much trouble breaking a press. High school teams do it all the time, but apparently college teams never work on it. Never understood that.

That call was awful. It clearly didn't go out of bounds, which makes it an obvious inadvertent whistle. Refs should know that immediately. Disgraceful that it took so long.
What's worse is I'm pretty sure Gonzaga got fouled on the other end before the WVU fast break.

As far as what took so long, I think they were trying to figure out multiple things. 1) Did it go out of bounds? 2) What time should be on the game clock? 3) What time should be on the shot clock? 4) Did West Virginia technically have possession of the basketball when the whistle was inadvertently blown? If so, then West Virginia keeps the ball, but if not (and no one has possession), I believe they went to alternating possession. And, as the commentators noted, the switched possession (jump ball) after the play, so I REALLY think the holdup wasn't about whether it went out of bounds, but whether or not West Virginia had possession of it.

I hate to say it, but I don't see anyone beating Kansas.
As a Mizzou fan, I hate you for saying that. And I hate myself even more for not having a credible argument against it right now. :(

I despise Kansas, and I think Bill Self is completely average as an X and O coach, but if they keep beating people by 20 and 30 points, Self's endgame coaching doesn't really come into play.

Definitely looking forward to #4. Could not care less about #1. Plan to watch #3 in its entirety. And, besides Xavier, SC is my other dark horse favorite.

At the tender age of 8, 1964, I lived in campus housing known as Flavet 2 at University of Florida... when their football team had a quarterback named Steve Spurrier... and when their basketball team played University of Miami, they had to face a one man scoring machine known as Rick Barry. Gators held him to about 27 points per game. Years later, I went back as a student. Even when the Gators don't win a game, I bleed Orange & Blue!

South Carolina played a stellar game against Duke. Many North Carolina fans joined the South Carolina fans in the stands that game ... and definitely made a difference.

That finishes off one of my brackets. I have one other; that one picks Gonzaga.

They look good. I expect Xavier's luck to run out in that game.

I just finished watching the Cavs. and I see that SC is killing Baylor. I'm waiting for that UCLA-UK game.

I really do not see Wisconsin beating FL. But, you never know. I see that as the best match up tonight though. I just wish it wasn't on so late. I'm getting tired.

Looks like UCLA vs UK is the better game. Neck and neck so far. I'm not sure I'll stay up for the rest of it though. Bummer. Should be a killer 2nd half

Wisconsin is owning FL right now. Gators better wake up, or they'll go down to a worse loss than did Baylor.

Love it.
11th seed into the elite 8.

Here in Cincinnati area, the talk was, early in the year, that Both X and Cincinnati would be elite 8 level teams. Xavier had a really bad stretch and lost probably their best player but they started living up to expectations. UC was screwed the worst in the draw-seeded 6th was a joke and sending them out west to play UCLA what was essentially a home court advantage for UCLA was a joke. In October lots of people figured X was going to be a top 10 team come this time of the year and they are basically there UC should have been-but the committee raped them big time

Lonzo was completely out foxed.

Coach Cal is the best basketball coach in college. Kudos.

Wisconsin came from 12 points down late in the 2nd half... hit an amazing 3 on the buzzer to tie 72 -72 and took the game into overtime. In overtime, Wisconsin had a 5 point lead with less than a minute to play. A few unlikely plays later, the Gators clawed back to tie. With 4 seconds left, the Badgers went to the free throw line and hit both of them. Score 83 - 81. Yes, with only 4 seconds left and no time outs, the Gators could only hope to have a prayer answered. God may have listened... because the Gators made a breath taking 3 on the buzzer to win 84 -83. Oddly, Vegas had the Gators winning by one.

I can still feel the disappointment of Badger fans. I dare not say the players. We Gator fans could very well have had the shoe fall on the other foot.

What a game! Go Gators!

Holy crap! Now that's one hell of a second half-plus.

I'll go look for clips here in a minute. Not the same as live, but they should still be pretty good entertainment.

Calipari, Sabin, Belichick, Francona...Mount Rushmore worthy.

Chris Chiozza, in his junior season and a Reserve Guard, shoots the Gators into the Elite 8 with a clutch 3 on the Buzzer in Overtime! Final Score 84 - 83! Badger players, coaches and fans collectively collapse in disappointment.... while Gator coaches, players and fans erupt in euphoria!

Xavier is getting smoked by the Zags. Not unexpected.
