NCAA Tournament 2017

Definitely all good games.

My cheering choices:
Michigan
Zags
Kansas
Xavier

I don't have the proverbial dog in today's games. Xavier remains this year's Cinderella Team. My game of importance plays out tomorrow beginning 10 pm in Madison Square Gardens on TBS. Go Gators!

Arizona, Kansas and Michigan winners tonight. Gonzaga is going to need rape whistles.

Michigan would be a problem since I've got an AZ/OR rematch for the championship.

Wow! What a hard fought win! 69 - 68, Michigan took the last shot and missed. Oregon becomes the first team to advance to the Elite 8!

They had the lead late too. Mi just could not stop the Ducks.

And Michigan's improbable run comes to an end.

Let's tip our hats and offer a hearty congratulations to the Zags for holding on 61 -58. West Virginia fought hard and came up short. Gonzaga becomes the 2nd team to advance to the Elite 8!

Zags certainly looked vulnerable.

Why did it take the officials 10 freaking minutes to determine that save by the WV player was clean? Hell, they missed the obvious foul and called it out of bounds. One look at the replay should have taken about 30 seconds. The damned zebras huddled for what seemed like forever.

I think WVU's press makes everyone look vulnerable. Notre Dame averaged the fewest turnovers in the country and turned it over as bad as us against the press. And they own blowout wins over Kansas and Baylor this year. The offense was far from pretty, but the defense was outstanding, holding them to 26% shooting. All in all, I think WVU was by far the best 4 seed, and I feel pretty good about what GU showed against them.

That call was awful. It clearly didn't go out of bounds, which makes it an obvious inadvertent whistle. Refs should know that immediately. Disgraceful that it took so long.

I hate to say it, but I don't see anyone beating Kansas.

They had a great game, but they had an absolute ton of close games in the regular season. I think they'll get by Oregon without Boucher, but UNC, Kentucky, UCLA, Gonzaga, or Arizona would all be just about tossups.

Speaking of Arizona, they're in a life and death struggle with 11th seed Xavier. If the Wildcats hadn't gotten so many offensive rebounds they'd be down by 10.

An 11 seed that just beat 3rd seeded FSU by 25. Xavier is good, and they've finally learned how to play without Sumner and have gotten Blueitt healthy. And it looks like Zona will win anyway.

That sucked.

Sorry, man.
Great game, though.
I don't really have a dog in this hunt, but ya gotta love a low seed making it so far.

Only Kansas cruised into the Elite 8.

The Cinderella Team, Xavier, takes down Arizona! Xavier has come into the Tournament tuned up and poised for an incredible run! They have danced their way into the Elite 8.... 73 - 71!

The better I rest before Friday night's games, the more I can enjoy this March Madness!
