First they came for The Bluest Eye, by an author who holds a Nobel Prize for Literature.
In the Night Kitchen, holder of a Caldecott Honor Book award for children's literature, attacked.
Then they banned the penguins. The happy little penguin book, gone.
Now, not even goblins are safe.

It's not the goblin butt that's offensive, it's books in general. These people hate and fear books: They never read them; they don't understand them; kids are better off without them.

‘In the Night Kitchen’ was literally my daughters favorite book for a while when growing up.

I dont think it was the minimal nudity.

Moms for Liberty are, at their core, just dirty little hypocrites who love themselves some threesomes...

They're literal Nazis, the ****ers quote Adolf Hitler. They should be publicly mocked until they move to another country.

Agreed.

I, too, really despise goblins, but it's not on account of freely quoting Nazis - far from it; it's the not wearing pants where the line was crossed.

MAGA.

It's not about the books. It's about control. If they can't control the messaging in a book, they don't want anyone to read it. Once there is nothing but bible stories left they might be happy.

Until Goblins learn to wear pants, we don't need those swarthy, woke pedophiles around our children, ever!

MAGA.
What if the swarthy woke pedophiles said MAGA and wore make america great again hats instead?

Those goblin thugs are better off clothing themselves with MAGA Speedos first. Coincidentally, I recently received a shipment from China, so if there are any goblins about, they can PM me for the price.

I mean that sounds like liberty to mean, but considering they've called people pedophiles for less this is pretty amazing.

Funny how MJ focuses here on the images rather than the overall content of the books.

We have an age limiting rating system for Movies, why not for books?

Ok, I'm interested. What would that change? Are you familiar with the books? What content do you find questionable, to the point that the majority of people would support banning these books, if only they knew?

Probably because it's a solution looking for a problem. Getting kids to read books these days is a challenge - my 11 year old is at the top of his class academically, loves learning through documentaries, etc, but the only fiction he's into reading is graphic novels, if he reads at all.

Also ... the age limiting rating system for movies is kinda obsolete at this point. Nobody rents movies anymore, there is no external gatekeeper checking ID's before a kid hits play on Netflix. If anything, it creates more desire to watch the naughty content...like, does anyone still believe prohibition of any kind works? I'd love to see the logical explanation as to why, if so. The most repressed societies are always the most "deviant", without fail or exception.

I will say there are multiple websites a parent can go visit to look up the accebtability of content for kids. And no, those sites do not agree, the parent is free to pick the site that most closely resembles their values. Let them police their kids. Because catering to these Karens means that MY rights and desires are not being adhered to... at what point do I get to have MY tantrum? Nah...better to tell these cows to get back in their lane, and let teachers teach.

If you were familiar with Moms for Liberty, you would know that they are concerned about trans and homosexual content being available to under aged children.
There are studies that have linked negative development for kids being exposed to any type of pornographic material - including content about death.

I have zero problem with the books being published, but I do have an issue with that content being available to a 5 year old without the parents knowledge or consent.
That's wrong, regardless of the content.

The old argument is that it's up to the parents... well that is what they are doing. If you disagree, create XYZ club attend ISD meetings and do the opposite.

Or, you could stay in ignorance of the topic and call them Nazi's.

How does a 5 year old get hold of a book without their parents knowledge?
