Michael Cohen pleads guilty to lying to Congress about Trump real estate project in Russia

Each day we see that the Steele Dossier was correct in almost every aspect, especially in anything that really matters. And, the bottom line is impossible to deny: those who refuse to accept it are either stupid or intentionally lying.

He had business dealings in the past... He had NO business dealings at the time he said the above.
Is this really that hard for you to understand that he did not lie?

He received a blowjob in the past... He was NOT receiving a blowjob at the time he said the above.
Is this really that hard for you to understand that he did not lie?

I totally agree with this. This is ALSO why they KNEW and why Cohen is pleading guilty to charges now.

ITS been known, These russian dealings were NOT back door super secret squire dealings

Manafort is falling apart as a star witness
Cohen blew it when his lawyer said he has credible evidence from Cohen about the Trump Tower meeting, that fell apart.

Not sure what people are so excited about I really do NOT think this is going to be more "implications" on trump...

Just dumb people, doing dumb things... hell Again in relation to Trump Russia real estate deals really Mueller didnt know and this is ground breaking LOL.....
You know, the bolded is a distinct possibility. I personally made similar declarations early-on, even though besides being "dumb", I also characterized these actions as possibly being against regulations or being unlawful. In fact, I hope this is all it is, even though I still want Trump out of office for many other reasons.

Unfortunately, we (through the DOJ & Intel agencies) have to throughly investigate each of these incidents, in the interest of national security and criminal statute. And yes, if crimes are committed they must be prosecuted. There's a lot of dumb criminals; the jails and penitentiaries are filled with them. Being dumb, unless to the point of clinical mental deficiency, does not absolve one from criminal liability.

I think people are missing the real point of this whole "lying to Congress" thing.

I wonder...does anyone know who, exactly, in Congress he lied to? What Committee he lied to?

Answer that question...and then consider whether anyone on that Committee could be in jeopardy if Trump declassifies documents, as he has threatened to do.

Here's a hint: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/fb...HOCKING-STATEMENT-SENATE-INTEL-COMMITTEE.html

I edited my comment with a hint. That may help you to answer my questions. You are welcome.

btw, post #16 wasn't a defense. It was a request for information. I haven't defended Cohen at all.

u

Seems legit right? I mean cuz that's what normal sane folk do. :lamo Wonder if he got his Kremlin check, one thing we know, Putin pays his people, unlike King Tanface. Guys like Mycroft admire shady businessmen anyway as long as they are GOP aligned.

C’mon, man! We’re all friends here, we know who/m you are defending..........

For all of you who think THIS IS IT!! WE GOT HIM NOW!! I suggest you take a step back and listen to a voice of reason.

Republicans should be laughing at the allegations and mocking them for how pathetic they are. Mueller’s indicted internet trolls are
pathetic and inconsequential. Trump seems to be the only man capable of calling these nincompoops out for what they are.
If hillary or a standard republican were elected none of this Russia nonsense would be given the time of day. Trump is right to
take the entire affair personally. I’m glad he’s fighting back. If Bush had been subject to the same level of attacks on trump
he would have resigned already.

Trump isn't fighting very hard. He doesn't need to. Heck, his twitter action is making them run around like their hair is on fire.

You're telling us that Trump hires nincompoops, while he says he only hires the best. I believe you, Trump is lying.

Sent from Trump Plaza's basement using Putin's MacBook.

So what is the address of this towering business interest?

Business interests need not have physical addresses. As long as Trump was actively pursing an economic opportunity in Russia, he had a business interest in Russia.

So there is none. Thanks.

I suppose to a neophyte on such matters, you might look at it that way.

Trump had an active project he was pursuing. The fact the deal never closed is rather moot. If Trump were spending time and money pursuing an economic opportunity in Russia, Mueller and Congress will likely consider it an emolument....and if Trump's policy toward Russia was inconsistent with American policy (as it appears to be) BUT consistent with his own business interests, its impeachable.

See ya at the hearings.

Well, we do see a continuous slow drip of pieces of it coming together, I will admit. If Mueller used it as a blueprint, it seems to be working.

These two claims seem to now be ascertained in general:

That Cohen played a "key role" in the Trump–Russia relationship[3] by maintaining a "covert relationship with Russia",[109][110][111] arranging cover-ups and "deniable cash payments",[60][35] and that his role had grown after Manafort had left the campaign.[112][108] (Dossier, pp. 18, 30, 32, 34–35)

That "COHEN now was heavily engaged in a cover up and damage limitation operation in the attempt to prevent the full details of TRUMP's relationship with Russia being exposed."[108][101] (Dossier, p. 32)

Though I have not seen a statement today concerning Cohen funneling specific funds re: Russia. That's a big deal. If Mueller has that, it's collusion city. At least collusion as far as Cohen is involved. And like with Stormy, if Cohen is pending the money, Trump very likely signed-off on it.

BTW, did you see today where Deutsche Bank got raided for Russian money laundering? A raid involving a 170 police & agents? That was/is Trump's real-estate bank.

The fact that he lied when he stated that he was not pursuing any business deals in Russia during the campaign is not moot however.

DB and Trump’s lawyer in Chicago were both raided, nearly simultaneously. :)

How can it be an emolument? Trump wasn't a President.

Trump is now the President. His policy IS America's policy.

You really don't know how this stuff works, do you?

No, it’s “na zdorovie.”

And trump has ranted on about Michael Cohen was a very WEAK person.

After 10 years doing all his dirty work - like paying off porn stars , trump suddenly figures out that Cohen is a WEAK person???

trump only hires the VERY BEST PEOPLE.

You really don't know how this stuff works, do you?

Lets ask all the other republican candidates if they were conducting private business while they were campaigning. C'mon Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson etc - fess up now.

And if trump gets away with this too - I want EVERY democrat presidential candidate for 2020 to conduct private business during the election campaign . Wanna bet trump and any republican presidential candidate screeches and rants about LOCKING EM UP.

But, but, but... Clinton, emails, BENGAHZIIII!!!

Don't forget Hillary stood by her adulterous lying husband. The far right evangelicals were rightly outraged that Bill grabbed some ***** and lied about it. And Hillary stood by her husband!!!! How immoral. How UN-CHRISTIAN of the 2 of them.

Thankfully we now have someone who respects the sanctity of marriage , respects women and NEVER lies. Values that Pat Robertson, Franklin Graham and other far right evangelicals respect.
