McConnell should not take the oath

The impeachment is 100% partisan at this point. Zero republicans have signed on.

So why shouldn't he act partisan? Everyone else is.

SO like McConnell, an oath means nothing to you. That is what the OP is about, not whether you consider the impeachment a good or bad thing.

At no time in the history of the United States, has a single political party moved to negate the will of 63 million citizens, and unilaterally remove the President of the United States.

Don't like the word "coup", to bad.

DO you place all of the blame on the Dems for doing what they see as their duty, while the GOP does nothing but protect Trump at all costs. Therre is no question concerning what trump has done and that it violates his oath of office. there was little or no mention of his guilt during the hearing, only the Dems did not so it according to what the GOP wished, even though they were following the rules written by the GOP. So you can say it was partisan, but who was the one who created the partisanship. To me it was the GOP to protect their master Trump.

What I don't get is this.

If The democrats don't have a case, why would the republicans not have a real trial with witnesses? Why not blow them up with all your "facts?"

McConnell is the equivalent of a jury foreman in a criminal trial so we have the jury foreman coordinating the trial with the defendant in order to make sure that defendant remains unscathed much less convicted. There's a particular oath senators will take at the beginning of the process to swear and affirm they will perform their duties honestly and with "due diligence." Every Republican going along with this travesty will have committed perjury the moment they finished taking that oath.

Juries aren't tasked with just getting a conviction. Juries don't coordinate with the prosecution, either.

You think the Democrats are going to perform their duties with "due dilligence"? :lamo

The Democrats are convinced he committed a crimr. They can't name it, but they're convinced and refuse to entertain any opinion to the contrary. Due dilligence my ass.

Because he doesn’t consider Democrats to be legitimate.

NO, it is because if they have a real trial and the GOP gets its Hunter Biden, and Schiff, "the whistleblower is protected by law", but the the Dems would get Mulvaney, Bolten, Pence and others and that scares the GOP and Trump too much to have a real trial.

Juries aren't tasked with just getting a conviction. Juries don't coordinate with the prosecution, either.
And the "prosecution" (Dems) are not doing so.

You think the Democrats are going to perform their duties with "due dilligence"?
Yep...and would have done it much better if Dirtbag didn't obstruct the investigation. Now there's a "tell" that even Dirtbag knows he's guilty. Innocent people do not try to hide evidence.

First, as even Dirtbag toadies must (or should) know by now there doesn't have to be a violation of any particular law to impeach a president although there is one for Dirtbag: violation of
this federal code: [USC02] 52 USC 30121: Contributions and donations by foreign nationals and they've cited the specific time he violated it (and continues to do so). But abuse of power, which also includes violating his oath of office by definitely not "tak[ing] care to faithfully execute the laws."

Trump didn't accept a contribution from a foreign national.

Trump didn't accept a contribution from a foreign national.

Trump solicited one from Ukraine, in exchange for aid. Also, he accepted free legal advice from an attorney currently behind bars and another who just cashed $500,000 check funneled his way via the Russians. ****er is corrupt as ****.

McConnell is the White Supremacist's hero. Just look at all the decent judges he blocked so that Trump could put in place 100's of incompetent ones.

There is every question that the President did nothing wrong.

A political witch hunt, and the obsession to negate the will of 63 million Americans, is not grounds for removal of a President from office.

What will be your position when Republicans have the majority in the House, and seek to remove a Democrat President from office, simply because they don't like them?

Yet, on Friday the 13th, the House Dems in the Judiciary Committee are voting to move forward with their coup.

What coup?

The one that puts Mike Pence in the White House?

Now, run away.

What coup? The unilateral coup your party is attempting.

What has been the vote at every step of your party's coup attempt?

Defend it.

No there isn’t.

Indeed, the GOP in Congress made no effort to defend Trump’s actions in any way.

They made two principal objections.

One, was the noise they made by claiming that there are no “fact” witnesses. Which is easily fixed, because Trump is trying to get away with hiding them. Of course, you, and the rest of the Trumpsters run away when that obvious fact is pointed out to you.

The other is all process, something the GOP has tried to gum up or utilize for grandstanding from day one.

No one has mounted a defense of Trump’s disloyal and unAmerican behavior.

Trying to enlist another country in smearing a political opponant is selling the influence of your office to a foreign power. Something that Trump did as a candidate.

As soon as he though he had skated by the Mueller Report, he went out and did it again.

The next time he will double down and do it right out in the open, daring anyone to do their Constitutional duty.

The other fake objection is that Ukraine got the aid (at least most of it).

But the evidence clearly shows that the only reason they did was because Trump got caught. His behavior telegraphs it. So does the sequence of events that we know about so far.

We also know that the money that pays Guliani to be Trump “pro bono” television lawyer came from Dimitri Firtash, who got it from Putin.

Everyone’s working for Putin. All of Trump’s little band of Ukranian “investigators”, and the whole scheme to prevent appropriated Congressional money from going to Ukraine as Congress intended.

Of course, this is coming on the heels of Trump’s fake emergency declaration regarding the wall, so he could steal money already appropriated for other purposes. The courts have that scheme in hand right now.

As for your last question, that will depend on the circumstances.

But then, you don’t see anyone other than Trump and his mob threatening to make impeachment a permanent political process.

Just like the predictions of civil war, only the reactionary right wing seems to embrace that fantasy.

Thank you for making my point.

You can’t justify your rhetoric. Mike Pence would become President.

Some “coup”.

:2funny:

No collusion, no connections.

Hillary and the DNC work with Putin to get dirt on President Trump, and it's President Trump and everyone on his side who work for Putin.

Credibility = :bomb:

Thanks for proving you don't know what a coup is.

BTW, notice how your propaganda forces are going after Pence now?

Well, I can tell you what it isn’t.

It isn’t the dismissal of a corrupt and incompetent leaders, and leaving his party in the Senate and his lieutenant in his old office.

Everything in my post is documented fact.

You know it too. Which is why you’re down to cartoons for an argument.

Both the illegal campaign contributions to the Trump campaign and the payments that Fruman made to Trump’s “pro bono” attorney came from the two Russian bag men. They got their money from Dimitri Firtash, who got it from Moscow.

We do know that Lev Parnas was wired $1 million from the Russians to bankroll this scheme. He, and the other Brighton Beach gangster are under investigation for shoveling $325,000 in illegal campaign contributions to a Trump super pac. We know that a good bit of that money went to Guliani for his work for Trump.

Yes, the Russians did bankroll Trump’s idiotic scheme to blackmail Ukraine.

Trump wanted a weapon for his election.

Putin wanted to make sure that no missles got to Ukraine.

Neither succeeded, because Trump and Guliani got caught.

More accurately, Guliani blew the lid off himself by blabbing it on cable TV news.

The sad thing about that is that Guliani’s appearance was clearly meant as a roll out for the Hunter Biden meme. Which the AM right wing talk radio crowd and the trash blogs are still flogging.

Yes, the Russians know about all of this.

They were able consult with their co conspirator in the White House just last week.

No it isn't documented fact. It's partisan fantasy and nonsense.

How does it feel to know the IG's report destroyed the lies and distortions your leadership, and your MSM propaganda ministries have been feeding you all these years?

But I'll leave you to it.

Your problem is that while you're no doubt old enough to know that you're being fed lines of BS for you to repeat, you're nonetheless willing to repeat them.

With no bi-partisan support at any stage, what your party is attempting to do is a coup. Own it.

Cling to your idiotic false memes. Facts don’t matter to Trumpsters.

There is no overthrow of the government. No more so than there would have been in 1999.

Refute it. Take you time. Document your claims. I can. Let’s see you even try.
