Man arrested for driving through protest crowd

We've already seen how different it can be without the police.

To me it looks more or less the same. There were already lawless spots in this country before, what difference does a few more make?

You obviously aren't paying attention now, or you weren't paying attention before.

They need to sue whoever made that SUV.

No, then you defend yourself. What the **** do you think people are arguing? ‘Self defense is always wrong?’ No wonder you’re so goddamned confused.

How are you going to do that? By mashing the gas?

Do I have to? America is a big place. If they want a couple blocks of it, what do I care? The homeless took over the central park in my city for a while. Smoking, drinking, fighting in public. People went to sit down and eat at fancy restaurants right across the street. No one cared or did anything about it.

These protesters weren't in the road. Apples and oranges.

Then why did you "like" the post that said they were blocking streets? Seems you should have mentioned this rather than liking it. Apples and origins indeed.

Becoming far too common a tactic for people to use their vehicles to run down protesters.

Thankfully it seems that no one was hurt and the suspect was captured. He can now face the full force of law and should be prosecuted to the highest degree. Using violence like this against the free exercise of assembly and protest cannot be allowed to stand.

No one was hurt but our OPer thinks this somehow "evens the score" for several killings of BLM protestors by rightwingers running them down or randomly shooting into crowds. In fact, though, this article from a prominent rightwing nutcase (isn't this Michelle Malkin's PoS?) presents zero evidence that this had anything to do with BLM or Antifa or any leftwing group. It's just one of those standard Reich wing attempts to invent a "yeah, but whatabout" with a bogus story.

Which post is that?

It seems like common sense. Staying out of roadways when protesting will reduce your risk of being hit by a car. Avoiding streets with protesters illegally blocking the roadway will reduce your risk of a confrontation. Both sides are trying to justify their poor choices using the two wrongs make a right logic.

It’s not that hard stay out of the street and stop trying to run people over would eliminate most of these issues.

I love this touch in the HA piece:
The protest was taking place on the grassy field of a local park. And the motorist wasn’t “fleeing in terror” from anyone.

Apparently this is what an "innocent" rightwing driver trying to "flee in terror" from the threat of vicious protestors looks like:

Cordova has been charged with seven counts of attempted first-degree assault, seven counts of felony menacing, and reckless driving.

He got off light, if he left the road to run people over.

That dude is black.

Love how the opening paragraph paint the ones doing the exact same thing at BLM protests as innocent victims..... Hot Air what a accurate name for this trash site.

Truth hurts. Don't it?

First and foremost, they were violating the law and that made them rioters at the very least. If they were illegally blocking traffic with the intent of coercing or intimidating government into adopting or altering a policy, then they were terrorists. Only those who support violating the law would deliberately lie by calling them "protesters."

Second, what these rioting terrorists are obviously lacking is plain old common sense. If you do not want to be hit by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, DON'T ILLEGALLY STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!

Using a car for this type of purpose is never acceptable. no matter one's personal views.

Especially if the people being targetted aren't standing in the road forming a weaponized road block. Right?

Blocking? Dude swerved to hit those two ladies.

No truth there, just RW Spin. Which is all you can handle.

What spin? Shooting a law abiding citizen literally makes that person a victim.
