What do you call withholding vital American aid for a personal political favor? Smart? That seems to be the consensus of the POT (Party Of Trump). Also when exactly is Zelensky going to get his oval office visit? The Russians head spy AKA foreign minister has been their twice already.

Not all. In the senate Democrats Jones, Alabama and Manchin West Virginia may vote NAY on removal. Collins, Maine, Murkowski Alaska two Republicans might vote AYE for removal. Perhaps one or two more who are up for reelection in blue states. But not many more. Jones and Collins are up for reelection this time around, Murkowski and Manchin aren't. So the possibility exist for both Jones and Collins that if they don't vote the party line, both could be primaried out by their respective parties. To do so would in my opinion guarantee the lost of the senate seat to the opposite party.

It's about our constitution. You folks on the right keep telling yourselves it's about a hundred other things but it isn't. Regardless of what the senate does, the house is doing what the constitution demands, to check an out of control executive branch of our government.

McConnell and Graham have already told us the senate is going to let trump walk, which is what most people expect. Not because trump is innocent, because the GOP is putting party ahead of country. Either way I expect some gop senators to lose their seats over the upcoming kangaroo court that is going to be the senate's part led by the people already declaring trump has done nothing that meets the requirements to be removed.

The right won't be happy or shut up until the rest of the blue wave rolls over them in 2020.

If proven, I'd call it actions worthy of impeachment... The problem is there's no documents, no recordings, no admissions and no first hand testimony proving that took place. Congress has nothing but assumptions, speculation and 2nd and 3rd testimony, or put another way, no concrete evidence supporting such a charge. Even the supposed victim denies it ever happened.

What you anti-Trump people just don't seem to get is, suppositions and presumptions do not equal evidence. As it stands now, the best possible outcome for your side is that this gets quickly laughed out of the senate, because if this thing gets drawn out and goes full blown, it will still get laughed out of the senate, but the shady dealings of Adam Schiff and congressional democrats will be publicly exposed and end up damaging democrats big time.

So all 17 witnesses some who where on the phone call all lied about Trump demanding "favors" in exchange for releasing the aid and a WH visit? These people are respected civil servants and what would be their reason for jeopardizing their careers by lying?

None of them have evidence to support such thing and pretty much all 17 witnesses testified to such.

Taylor testified that linkage was never discussed on any phone call he was on and he never talked to the president.

Volker Morris ok n said the same thing.

Vindman said that the transcript was highly accurate and tell the transcript shows that no aid was held up nor was there any such thing said.

Half the people that testified never talked to the president. Nor did they have any evidence that anything was being held up.

Zelenksy himself has stated numerous times that there was nothing wrong said on the phone call.

Not one witness could state that we had a discussion ok n with trump and that the money was being held up for investigations.

As sondland stated he speculated but he had no evidence. He was not told why. When he asked the president said he wanted nothing.

The people that are in charge of the money were told that trump wanted other nations to help more. That is has been a campaign theme of his since be was nominated.

Speculation and hearsay is not evidence.

Fox News & GOP Talk-radio in Congress make it their strategy NOT to concede any GOP wrongdoing while aggressively demanding Liberals to adhere to all (real or imaginary) norms/made up scandals like Hillary Email Server, Benghazi, Fast & Furious, Ebola scare, Tea-Party/IRS, the Deplorables, Obama’s Birth Certificate, Obama’s Red-Line, White-Water, etc...

You have to consider that this is a guy fighting for his career and life, because if Graham doesn't play ball Trump will release the pictures and videos. It's too horrific to contemplate.

I think that it's clear that in these hyperpartisan times, it will be impossible to hold a President accountable. Which means, we'll essentially end up with a king.

I have not spoken to my representative ( I may call today and talk to an aid) it I can only assume that the obstruction charges in the Mueller report will be criminal charges after trump no longer has the protection of the presidency, and the collusion is not being included because it's not technically a crime at this time and was committed before he was president...

So, the OMB under Mulvaney (who's still the director of that department even as he's servicing Trump in the WH) comes up with long, LONG after-the-fact excuses for withholding the aid and you think that explains it all away? And then you lot piss and moan about being classified as a cult. The prosecution rests. It is also noted that you cite a treaty which no one, not even your Dear Dirtbag has used as an excuse for the crime-ing up to now. These dollar-short and months-late justifications and excuses just illustrate how even you people realize your Dear Dirtbag is is in deep ****.
