Is it Possible to Have a Plutonic Relationship?

So you think the reason plutonic relationships often don't work out for hetero folks is because we have too many sexual hangups? Well, thank you, Mr. Worldly! You are so wise and easy-going, we could all learn a think or two from you :)

You are correct, you could learn a few things from me. Maybe pay attention next time! :2razz:

(/S if it wasn't obvious)

Of course it is...

I have plenty of long-term purely platonic relationships with women.

Ok, lover. See you at our next lemon party :)

Is it possible to have a plutonic relationship with a woman if you're a man and you both are hetero?

My life experience tells me, "no". If you like each other, eventually you're going to fool around. That's just the way it is.

If there is no physical attraction between either of the people than I think so

As one with many such relationships and many other FWB relationships, the answer is yes. And that is regardless of orientation. Sexual orientation only notes what gender attracts you. It doesn't mean that each and every of age, non related person of that gender will attract you.

Dude, I'm not sure why you're going off on a tangent about sexual orientation and what gender is attracted to what gender. I'm sorry I wasn't specific. I'm talking about to who find each other attractive either physically, emotionally or both - can they remain, "just friends"? And my life experience, so far tells me, "no".

You were actually very specific.

"Plutonic?" Which is the alien, the man or the woman?

A non sexual courtship of a virgin is ideal. However, it would need to be romantic to be worth my time.

Yeah, yeah. You're late to the party. Either you haven't read the thread where a bunch of folks have already pointed it out or you're an idiot. Just hope folks are more understanding with you when you make a spelling error. Have a great weekend.

Dude, all you want to do is brag about how sexually enlightened and free you are. We get it, you love to get your freak on with a bunch of people - very impressive! Bravo!

Brag some more, please. I just love listening to you, you big stud!

You're the one that asked your question in such a way as to imply that being heterosexual made a difference in whether or not one could have a platonic relationship. I only pointed out that it makes no difference. If you thought it made no difference then why would you even mention hetero?

And given that my noting that I do have platonic relationships somehow means that I am "sexually enlighten and free", and that most people have platonic relationships with people of the sex that they are normally attracted to, along with your assertion that such is not your experience, you must be the odd man out on this one, while the rest of the world is sexually enlighten and free with their platonic relationships. How cursed you must be to not be able to have platonic relationships with women.

Man, first you bag on me for saying straight people have sexual hangups, then you bag on him for having many and varied sexual relationships. Methinks you might just not be getting laid enough!

I mean, if you need help, let me know, man. I'm always down for training a straight guy.

So you're judging me for my take on this while at the same time bragging about you're platonic conquests. Thanks for proving my point, stud. Now go get some, you sexual dynamo!

I'm not sure what "bagging" is. I assume to you mean, "ragging". I'm not ragging on anyone. I'm happy for people who have healthy and fulfilling sexual relationships, no matter who they are. So to say that a gay relationship is more fulfilling than a straight one is not only ****ing bull****, it's heterophobic and bigoted.

You are correct in that I am not getting laid enough. I'm glad you are! Bravo.

As far as you, "training" me - I'm not saying I'm not open to it - I'm just not into it - perhaps I just haven't met the right guy yet. Send me a selfie (not a dick pic!) and lets see if you're the first dude I've ever been attracted to - if I am, I say, "let's get this party started!".

Take care my possible future boyfriend :)

P.S. I got laid last night my friend - She's a six foot tall, red-haired, blue-eyed bbw and she rocked my world! <gasp> I hope that didn't gross you out too much!

I'm just sayin' :)

platonic conquests.

Wait, what? How does one have a platonic conquest? What are you thinking platonic means?

Platonic conquest, interesting concept. As long as you're getting SOMETHING out of the deal and not being a sucker, it works. In my case, it was a job search partner trading leads for a new job, on the company time of the soon to be ex-employer.

You tell us, stud! You're the one bloviating about all your freak-fests. Teach us oh wordly one - we are but babes at your feet and you are the breasts that nourish us!

Do you care if your wife enjoys sex with you? Do you care if she comes? If you don't answer the question this will be the last we speak.
