I was providing you with a reference, in my opinion, anytime you mix religion with government, Christian, Muslim, or even Buddhism the result isn't pretty. It's not a reflection on the religion, more on the corrupting nature of power itself.

More to your point, those three, represented their church and belief system. And it's doubtful they just up and decided to fly over there on their own dime.

i can promise a lot worse than playground teasing has been done to me and other gay men in the 'land of the free' and in the name of your god

hell, 'conversion therapy' coerced onto minors is still legal in 45 states and employment and housing discrimination in 30. The homeless rate of gay teens is also sickening

then go back a generation and cops were raiding gay bars and beating innocent people in the street. Go back just a couple years and you can find entrapment operations and 911 responses to a little PDA

where it no longer exists, it's not owing to your religion being superior and truly one that always inspires tolerance, not any more so than islam anyway. It's owing to the founder's experiment in libertarianism, the courts, technology, the courage of people to come out despite fierce intolerance

i don't see why the same progress, such that it is, can't take place in muslim countries eventually, if it did in christian ones. I doubt you can present evidence to the contrary. I doubt very much you've ever read any part of the koran in any translation

Equating the present-day treatment of homosexuals in the West with the treatment of homosexuals in Muslim-majority nations under Sharia is depraved, trivializes the brutal violations of human rights that is the latter, and has all the hallmarks of entitled Westerners who can't discern their own mild discomfort from the actual oppression that happens everyday outside their personal protective bubble.
