Re: Do you know me? I was at a white supremacists' rally.

Trying to use social media to get someone fired for being photographed at a rally, is pretty damn un-American. I can see if they are sporting swastikas, but many pictured were simply there. No proof of their ideology.

If they are holding a torch or wearing Nazi symbols it's pretty obvious.

I haven't seen every picture on Twitter.

But if you lie down with folks who're giving the Nazis salute to a Nazi flag, you're gonna get up with the solid taint of racism.

And pretty soon if we keep going as we are we will similarly easily be able to find the global warming deniers say, and line them up for like punishment....the excuse of course will be "SAVE THE PLANET!"

This is where America is now, this is how badly we suck now.

We just gotta have our sadism fix.

I don't think it's right for the govt to take their right of free speech or assembly away.
That absolutely should not happen.

When someone chooses to enter the pubic sphere for the express purpose of advocating and extolling, it's acceptable to pay attention to them, take pictures of them in the public sphere, and to post those pictures online.

You do have a point that those who enter the public sphere for any purpose have no expectation of privacy. I'm thinking of the People of Walmart site. Now that I think about it, I wonder if I have more concern over the argument that the character of the target is what makes it ok rather than the thing itself. Shoot, a lot of those guys are probably proud of what they believe and probably most people who have a job that would fire them over it know better than to be so out there. There is still the problem that someone could be labeled a Nazi who actually isn't. Do you see that as any kind of legit concern?

Re: Do you know me? I was at a white supremacists' rally.

Let me ask you this. What larger good does taking someone's livelihood away do? Hell, I've seen it argued that ISIS terrorists need job opportunities as part of an overall plan to deal with them. Even convicted felons get job training because a job is about more than just making money. Make it so they can't work and they become even more embittered and isolated (but, they're Nazis so who cares, right?). Ok, so let's say you personally can insure that none of these guys will ever work a job again, now we get to support them. That's a good thing?

You're asking me if I personally care about Nazis, no, I don't. I especially don't care about the ones like Josef Mengele who escaped, and remained an unapologetic Nazi until he died in Argentina. I feel these scum bags view me as a threat to "their country." So I have nothing personally to gain if they become successful business men or women or politicians. I would prefer they get rehabilitated and get out of their little hate group. I do believe in forginess and redemption. I know of Holocaust survivors who have forgiven. I will not feel much empathy for somebody in society engaged in such groups. I also find their issues like Holocaust denial and white genocide to be very warped, nonsensical, and dangerous. We attack Muslim leaders of nations like Iran for denying the Holocaust. I mean, really, come on. I am not going to empathize with that kind of dangerous ignorance.

What if it's a counter protestor or just a spectator?

How the **** are climate change deniers in the same class as ****ing Nazis?

I will say that if you're ok with it happening in one case, you have to find it acceptable in every case.

Re: Do you know me? I was at a white supremacists' rally.

People are not getting fired for "going to a rally"

People are getting fired because they threw ****ing Nazi salutes to a ****ing Nazi flag.
That means they're ****ing Nazis.

You either believe that the first amendment applies to ALL, or it applies to SOME.

The trustly slippery slope....once we have decided to punish people for their beliefs the slippery slope has the time of its life.

I say no, I say that all you have no jurisdiction over my brain....what it holds...and I am going to say this at the start aw we are talking about NAZI's and people who believe in so-called "White Supremacy" (The worst of the Worst according to the Victim Culture fanatics)....any claim made by law otherwise is abuse of me at the hands of the state.

If you were carrying a torch for the Nazis, then you were not a counter protester nor a spectator.

But, yes I agree that the innocent should not be unnecessarily punished.

Still don't care if public Nazis have their public picture taken and posted in public.

Well.. as an employer, I would like to know if my employees hold discriminatory beliefs and would certainly be sure to audit their work discuss with their supervisors to be vigilant to any discriminatory behavior on their part.

I honestly don't have a problem with it. You have no expectation of privacy if you are present at a public rally.

Re: Do you know me? I was at a white supremacists' rally.

The problem here is that there already been a number of misidentification where people who have not even been within a thousand miles of the city had been ID as one of the Nazis with their phone numbers and employers listed.

In that case.. I would bet a civil lawsuit will soon be pending.

Only in the librral mind are they so confused.

They're both in the minority of the general population, which makes them inherently evil. You know, like Jews and ambidextrous people.

Re: Do you know me? I was at a white supremacists' rally.

It seems since the Russian thing has gone nowhere, the left is now screaming about Nazis.

I guess anything to avoid letting the President get the business of the country done.

My thoughts exactly.

Plus, 100 Islamic terror attacks can occur, and the left will warn us that we need to be more tolerant, and not make knee jerk decisions. Then one Nazi terror attack occurs, with 1 fatality, and the left wants to start lynching people.

So it's okay that some folks want to stone their wives and children?
That's their culture, right?
Who are we to judge, right?

If some folks want to oppress Americans, ethnically cleanse Americans, who are we to judge?

****ing moral relativism, liberal, commie bull****...more of the camel that the conservative market segment has swallowed

An if the employee had been falsely Id as taking part in such behaviors or if you had been falsely ID as taking part for that matter how would you feel?

Up till the point they do it they can think what ever they like.

If they do it then we have laws for that.

And they can still think what they want.

What they think is not relevant.

ONLY DO

Lulz. You might want to pay far better attention. The Russian probe/investigation is heating up and has legs.

Careful, though. It can be frightening to those who can't face reality.

Everybody should be condemning these people. Everybody should condemn Muslim terrorism as well.

I cant answer the question cause i do not know what you are asking
What is the intent? "get at them" how

That aside a person participating in a public event and it getting back to their employee isn't anything new. So im not sure what exactly i could be "against" or "for"?
As far as general people "outing" others that happens too

A person if they are going to participate in such should make sure they are right and if an employer is going to react on such info they absolutely damn well better make sure the info is accurate and what they are doing is legal or they themselves could find them under litigation.

In most companies a person absolutely can be legally terminate for being a nazi/racist and participating in hate speech, crimes or messages. Most times these are a clear violation of policy and conduct contracts that companies have with employees, this isnt anything new by any means

Why is assembly of people for causes you dont agree with equal to terrorism in your books (If you dont believe that then this quote from you should not exist)?

That seems harsh, very harsh, I hope you have thought this through.

HAVE YOU?

A very common affliction in modern day America, home of the willful brat lost in daydreams outside of the current reality where he is ****ed over by his betters, and most of the time is too ignorant to know that he is getting ****ed over.

Which is how this country got so corrupt and poorly functioning, as the super wealthy run off with what is it 98% of the wealth we all create??

Something like that.
