Comey confirms FBI investigating Russia, Trump ties

Trump’s claim: President Obama ordered a wiretap on Trump Tower during the election
Comey’s response: “I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI.”

Rogers’s response: “I have seen nothing on the NSA side that we have engaged in such activity, nor that anyone ever asked us to engage in such activity.”

Committee chair Devin Nunes had already debunked this one yesterday on Fox News Sunday: “Was there a physical wiretap of Trump Tower? No. But there never was.”

The heads of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Republican Sen. Richard Burr and Democratic Sen. Mark Warner, also said in a joint statement last week that “ased on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016."

There are illegal warrants issued in this country every day.

If a warrant is issued without necessary probable cause, is illegal.

A detective tells a judge, "I want a warrant to surveil Cardinal". The judge says, "what for?". The cop says, "I think he's up to no good and I don't like him". The judges issues the warrant. Is the warrant legal?

Even worse is how the haters are hung up on, "Obama did it", basically saying, "if Obama didn't do it, then nothing happened".

Then the director of the FBI says, under oath, that he was ordered to investigate a presidential candidate. Why was he ordered to do so?

Wallace said it was "pretty startling" to hear the FBI director confirm that the Trump campaign - including President Trump - is under FBI investigation.

He added that Comey also said that the FBI has "no information" to support Trump's claims that he was wiretapped by the Obama administration during the presidential campaign.

"It's been a bad day for the Trump White House," Wallace said.

Liasson agreed that it was a "blockbuster day."

"It's not every day that you hear that there's an ongoing counterintelligence operation into the president of the United States' campaign and whether they colluded with Russia," she said.

Ignoring the conclusion as to the nature of the Trump tweet, its not neccesarily so that anything that occurred within the law here would not be scandalous.
A FISA warrant requires less probable cause than the more conventional warrant. What was the Obama Administration trying to do? Remember, they chose not to prosecute the crimes that the FBI concluded Mrs. Clinton had committed.

This is one of those times when trying to tell whether Trump is stupid or lying seems like a hopeless endeavor.

He is an expert at throwing out deflections. And far to often the media has bitten hard.
Did not see all their testimony this am as we were out, but Comey was funny when he mentioned he was not a man of steel- Bathroom break was then permitted.
