I am 82 years old, and -- like a lot of other people -- I automatically think of Nazi Germany whenever I hear the term "concentration camps."

Because the cruelty and barbarity of those Nazi facilities were beyond belief in the tortured history of the world, many people like me feel that it SHOULD be the "standard definition."

This is unfortunate because it allows us to think that unless we are killing 6 million Jews, we must be doing okay. But the sad fact is, we are all capable of being Nazis. One would think that the people of a nation that once held other people in bondage and wiped out another people's culture would recognize this.
