Pass it to me you fools.

Oh, for sure...it happens on both sides. But you won't find me doing any such thing. When I accuse a politician of lying, it is because they did, in fact, lie. An example would be the lie that has gotten Obama in so much trouble lately.
But...I can give you an example of another type of lying that politicians do. Here in Colorado we had a guy named Ken Salazar...a Democrat...who ran for the Senate. He ran as a moderate and it got him elected...but as soon as he went to Washington, he dropped his moderate stance and followed the liberal party line. To me...and to a lot of Coloradans...he lied to get elected.
Obama's lies and Salazar's lies are examples of what I mean when I say, "It shouldn't be".
So tell me. Is the liberal stance COL took on marijuana the reason the rednecks want to leave COL or is it the fact liberals have taken over the state. I remember when I stayed with my aunt in Bolder in 1980 the state was very conservative. Almost like Oklahoma with a libertarian bent. Now because of people moving there and the Hispanic vote COL is now a blue state. Thank God they have seen the light and those poor social conservatives want to leave.
Yeah...I can see you really don't know a lot about Colorado, but that's not surprising since all you know about it is from living in Boulder.
1. The marijuana issue: This hasn't really been a right vs left issue. Amendment 64 passed handily which means it got supported by a LOT of conservatives...including me.
2. Conservative or liberal: Colorado does lean a bit liberal nowadays, but I wouldn't call it a "blue state". Heck, the gun control recalls point to that. And, believe me, conservatives aren't leaving the State.
The Democrats control our Legislature and we have a very moderate Democrat in the Governor's Mansion, but I wouldn't be surprised if these things shift come the next election. The Democrat Legislators kind of made the same mistake Pelosi and Reid made back in 2009 and we know what kind of shellacking THEY got.
I have spent some time in Denver too but not in a long time. I do know the Jesus freaks are pissed off big time. It has been all over the news. I think it is becuse they have lost alot of power over the years.
You finally made a post that wasn't all full of ****. I'm proud of you.

Ha the light? If that's the light than maybe the fact that they kill unborn children just after conception is their closet. you know the ones with all of the skeletons (bad baby murderors joke)
So the GOP has shot itself in the foot again.
To think they are the party of gunslingers. How can we have check's and balence when one of our parties have lost its ability to govern?
Don't get me wrong I do think it is funny to see the GOP handed its head on a regular basis because they have swung so far to the right but the fact they can't govern anymore is not funny at all in fact it is bad for the country.
This is a two party system because both liberals and conservatives have things they good at and bad at. Conservatives keep liberals from hurting business and liberals keep conservatives from hurting the poor. This country is better off with both parties working together instead of at each others neck all the time. Right now with the GOP letting the racist, religous fanatic, poor hating and down right mean spirited freaks run the show they can no longer be trusted to govern.
Now maybe the level heads in the GOP will reclaim power and we can have a two party system again and end this endless fighting that does not allow anyone to govern. The President won the election. The people spoke and the right wing lost again except for redneck states. This will continue until the right comes bact to Earth and moderates. You can not win states like Ill,NY,Cal,Mass or even swing states with the far right in control. It is time to change or go the way of the Whig's GOP.
Abortion should be legal but rare.

When I read the title of the thread I thought I was going to like the topic. Alas, I don't. Nothing is better in the political process than gridlock. We don't need two parties that compromise their values to reach some deal that pleases nobody. What need is politicians that take a stand which represents the people who elected them. Too many politicians go to Washington and are seduced by the power and money and become squishy like McCain and Graham. What we need is bare knuckle brawls where two ideologies clash and the only winner is the people, not the party or those who buy their influence.
Gridlock is our friend.
ha wonder how they're going to make a proffit from abortion
The two-party duopoly of corporate owned and operated politicians is what has brought America to the brink of disaster in the first place.
America needs more choices than just tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum.
They make hundreds of billions. What did you think the point was?
ha wonder how they're going to make a proffit from abortion
If it were any easier to pass laws, all laws would be pork. Gridlock is critical to making legislation hard. If a proposed laws appeals to both sides, then it is likely a good law. If not, then it is probably not a good law. Gridlock reaveals that. But I think we would be better off with a no party system.
You probably think we would be better off with NO Govt. so how much value does your opinion have?
Governing requires working together and compromise which is now a dirty word at the GOP.

Rather than a no-party system any thoughts on a multi-party system? If it were any easier to pass laws, all laws would be pork. Gridlock is critical to making legislation hard. MOthers who got knocked up who dident want kids/more. Rape victums who dident want to be reminded over and over again they were raped when they looked in the kids eyes. Stem cell reasurch. Those are to ones off the top of my head.
hic...
Abortion as a form of birth control is an idea that only the left can embrace.
Rather than a no-party system any thoughts on a multi-party system?
Seems as if the Dems and Repubs have battled to a stalemate and neither is willing to come out of their corner.
