Do you not consider that to place the (proposed) rights of the unborn would require placing some or all of a woman's rights as subordinate to the unborn, making them unequal and reducing women back to 2nd class citizens again? The born and unborn cannot be treated equally, legally or practically, so one must be secondary, be less.
IMO that certainly is the unborn.

I truly am trying to follow your logic here...I have heard this before...and I will try to explain my stance
Definition:
Responsibility- the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something.
Assumptions/Statements:
Sex can lead to pregnancy
Fetus has human right to life(some will not agree with this assumption, but that would have to be a different argument and is where the discussion can come to an impasse, lets get this out of the way first)
Sex is desired by woman
Woman has human right to her own body.
Woman has a right to choose what happens to her own body
Woman does not want pregnancy
Woman knows sex can lead to pregnancy
Violating a right is
Unethical
___The problems start RIGHT HERE___
Woman wants sex, but without pregnancy
___IMPOSSIBLE without sterilization___
Goal:
The woman wants something that cannot possibly be obtained.
Solution Attempts:
A. Become Sterile
B. Have sex anyway with hopes of not becoming pregnant
A-> achieves goal
B-> does not achieve goal all of the time.
Woman knows solution B does not achieve goal all of the time.
Premise:
IF solution B does not achieve the goal, THAN Whomever chose it is
Responsible.
THEREFORE IF woman chooses solution B, THAN woman is
Responsible for becoming pregnant.
Conclusion: Woman is
Responsible for Pregnancy
This leads to...
Statement:
Solution B can lead to an unwanted pregnancy
Woman wants abortion
Woman is
Responsible for Pregnancy
Violating a right is
Unethical
Premise:
IF abortion goes through, THAN "Fetus has human right to life" is violated.
IF abortion is prevented against woman's will, THAN "Woman has human right to her own body" is violated.
In the condition of abortion the statements "Woman has human right to her own body" and "Fetus has human right to life" both cannot be satisfied, for if one is the other suffers, Therefore it leads to a condition in which is
Unethical no matter what.
IF one is
Responsible for a situation that is
Unethical, than they made an
Unethical action
THEREFORE the action Solution B is
Unethical
Conclusion: The Woman made an
Unethical action and is
Responsible
Definition:
Consequences-a result or effect of an action or condition.
Statements:
Those that intentionally make
Unethical actions and are
Responsible, are also
Responsible for the
Consequences of the
Unethical actions.
Woman intentionally chose solution B.
Premise:
Unwanted Pregnancy is a
consequence of
Unethical actions AND Woman intentionally chose to perform them and is
Responsible , THEREFORE Woman is
Responsible for the
consequences of Unwanted Pregnancy.
Conclusion: Woman is
Responsible for the
consequences of Unwanted Pregnancy.
So lets recap the conclusions-
Woman is
Responsible for Pregnancy
Woman made an
Unethical action and is
Responsible
Woman is
Responsible for the
consequences of Unwanted Pregnancy.
Closing Statements:
Fetus is not intentional, responsible or unethical, therefore should not suffer consequences.
Those that are
Responsible for the
consequences of an
Unethical action that they are
Responsible for ought not violate the rights(ought suffer the consequences-of) of those for which were not
Responsible .
(DING DING DING... we have the beginning statement of all criminal theory.)
