Well, when Republicans are voting against fair pay for women, the violence against women act and introducing legislation that makes abortion a crime or legislation that makes it harder for women to choose, people tend to view that as a war against women...and rightfully so.
I heard this on the radio and this was actually something in my state I believe, I just caught bits and pieces but from what I understand, one person who voted against it said he requested proof that women were not being paid equally and none could be provided so he said it was unneeded legislation.
It's not exactly "voting against fair pay for women" when proof is requested that women aren't paid fairly and none could be provided.
