Your President just said he's immune from all stages of a State criminal process...

You think that the IRS can get the tax returns? Seriously? Yeah, I know Trump said he couldn't release them because he was under audit. Apparently there's a law that says anyone under audit is prohibited from allowing anyone else to see those tax returns. Nobody can find that law ... but anyway, the head of the IRS serves at the pleasure of the president, so those returns will never see the light of day.

Anyway, Trump doesn't have to obey the USSC for the same reason he doesn't have to obey congressional subpoenas. He is head of a independent branch of government, and as such he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. The president cannot be investigated (seriously, that's the argument) and lacking an investigation, there is no cause to charge criminally no matter what the president does.

So the USSC and Congress can go F*** off. No one can tell DJT what to do. Deal with it.

The IRS has already audited his tax returns twice since he was sworn in.

Seriously, are you in fact under thirteen years old?
I am totally serious because "He's the Prezzy-dent and yer not!" sounds an awful lot like an argument a thirteen year old would make when they run out of ideas.

There was an episode of South Park in which everybody on the internet was outed, leading to the breakdown in the social fabric. I often think that if such a thing happened in real life, it will turn out that literally every trump supporter on this forum is, in fact, thirteen years old. It's the only truly plausible explanation for their behavior.

So what people are arguing is something like this…

A guy gets elected president. A tip comes through that he owns a business in a small town where underage sex slaves from China perform sexual acts for the clientele and it's done in a really sneaky way that's hard to prove. He can not even be investigated until after he's out of office. The 14 year old girls have to wait 4 to 8 years.

Does that make sense to any sane people in our country? Or any decent person?

...while all the evidence grows cold, of course.

Then he has no reason not to release them.

The fact that he promised you guys that he would and then spit in your face is hilarious.

Our founders would be astonished how Trump voters support a king like President.

would they?

George Washington's farewell address said:
I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.

This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

Re: subpoena for his tax returns, Trump legal team files 179 page brief arguing that "he is absolutely immune from all stages of state criminal process while in office" https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6549876/Petition-for-Writ-Trump-v-Vance-1.pdf https://twitter.com/jamiedupree/status/1195107497532706817/photo/1

Donald Trump said he would release his tax returns while RUNNING to be a POLITICIAN.

Now that he IS a POLITICAN he says he's better than all you guys while he IS a POLITICAN (can't even be investigated).

He said so in an 179 page argument.

Politician. Your daddy.

So long as Trump keeps attacking brown and black skin people, 1/3 of America will give him a pass on anything.

I wonder if there are any republicans who know that Trump is an extremely dirty businessman and politician and a crook and are simply praying that he can string everything out long enough to serve for a term or two.

If there are then that's the lowest of the low. Like lower than people in Baltimore who support crooks.

Trump is the president and there is nothing you can do about that! :peace
Crazy Trump hate to the extreme.

Why don't you worry about the leaders in your country? The guy wears black face as an adult and he gets reelected.

Exactly. Keep America a Laughing Stock. Four more seasons of the Twumpy the Clown Show! :lamo

They do want a republic with a limited electorate, kinda like the Founders understood was the 'best' method of governing. The Electoral College was one aspect of that belief in an elite class which would choose the President without regard to the popular vote. This year, a decision by a Federal Appeals Court stated that electors cannot be required to vote as the majority of voters in their state/district voted.

That sucketh.

So much for swamp draining.

Then he has no reason not to release them.

The fact that he promised you guys that he would and then spit in your face is hilarious.

Except, that he doesn't have to.

Why don't you worry about the leaders in your country?

Because he's not a world wide laughing stock like Trump. Trump's a clown in orange face paint, and who doesn't like a clown show?

Except, that he doesn't have to.

He promised you suckers he would. That's the funny part.

Five bucks says Donald Trump thinks that 99 percent of Trump voters are just a bunch dumb asses from outside of Manhattan.

Your President just said he's immune from all stages of a State criminal process...

:2bigcry:

I give Donald Trump massive credit for using the Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh tactics. They work perfectly.

Yeah, the Southern Strategy has gathered all the racists under the Republican banner. Hence Trump's "very fine people" comment, and his "sons of bitches" comment. He knows his base.

The stupidity of the Left wing never ceases to amaze me. You all go on-and-on about how The United States is a democracy, then claim that the Founders only wanted the political elite to select the president. And, you support such a system.

They literally just finished fighting a war against the political elite and you all think they wanted to re-event the wheel by creating the exact same system? :lamo
