Still a Fact.,...in fact you just did it again, you just cannot help yourself....
Thank you for your opinion

In the U.S., gun violence is epidemic in poor urban areas, often due to gang violence. In reality, mass shootings in our country account for a very small number of deaths.
But let's keep scapegoating responsible, law abiding gun owners who have jumped through all the hoops to own their guns legally...Don't tell me this is not about a massive gun grab by the controlling anti-gun brigade.
I was thinking that, too. Possibly, less media attention would be a good first step. When we keep hearing about the incident for days afterwards I wonder if it has the snowballing effect Gladwell talks about where the 100th riot joins far more easily than the second or third.
It's far easier to pass more laws affecting law abiding citizens since they tend to obey even laws they don't like, than it is to down to the inner city and try to enforce the laws already on the books. Since this group does not obey the law.
The link I posted above uses a riot analogy. The first guy has to be a hard corps rioter buy as more people join it tends to overcome some reluctance as each new person joins. It's a little long but well written. The author also discusses the "hero worship" idea. And I was thinking along the same line as you, if we take away the "hero" then what is left to worship. The media is providing the means of hero worship and the rest just follow suit.

Shootings are reported all over europe when they happen as front page news.....they just report a lot less of them
Do you know that is for one month and you happen to be comparing two of the safest cities in the world? NYC is incredibly safe due to ITS gun control.Yes, there is a reason for that, a lot less guns. However, that doesn't exempt Europe from murder rate, they just find different means to murdering people. London now exceeds NYC in murder rate: London Murder Rate Soars And Exceeds That of New York City | Time
If you think that banning firearms is going to stop people from killing other people your living in a whole different reality than the rest of the world.
There is not a single criminal profiler that would agree with that statement. Most mass murderers and serial killers choose their weapon based upon what gets them off. A mass shooter uses a gun because that is what gets him off. It is not uncommon for them to be sexually aroused during their act. A knife for that person would not give them the same gratification. Similarly, someone that stabs people to death does so because that is what gets them off. I am pointing this out because there is this notion that a killer is a killer and will kill by any means at their disposal. That usually is not the case though. Typically, a mass murder chooses their weapon based upon what it does for them.
For example, a guy that gets off strangling women to death will not switch to shooting them if he breaks one of his hands. He will stop until he can do what gets him off. The killing is just a side effect of what gets him off, the strangulation. Similarly, a guy that gets off walking into a school or other public place and walking around shooting people, does so because that act gets him off. If he did not have access to a gun, he would not necessarily switch to other means. He probably would just wait until he could get a gun.
The only exceptions to this are political terrorism. For example, during the train station stabbings in China, terrorists used knives because they could not get access to guns.
What I think is going on in private schools is parents who care. My neighborhood has maybe 25% private school students. When you pop $20 K for something you are already paying for, you care.
Although I don't consider a few shootings out of millions of non shootings a major problem, it is a matter of concern and something we need to get a handle on. One thing certain, it's not the guns. Many of us grew up in households with guns over the mantle and in open gun racks. Many started hunting and otherwise handling firearms at 8 or 9. Yet it never occurred to us to shoot anybody.
Wow.
And some of these have been public schools in upscale suburbs.
I'm just going to link this article with little comment. If you've never heard of or read any of Malcolm Gladwell's work you're missing something; his insights and observations are unique and thought-provoking.
Actually adding security is happening in many school districts and will continue to. But then your agenda is not school safety, common knowledge.
Still cannot answer the question i see, thanks for playing....
I'm not sure of your point, or if you have one
In most countries kids will not get shot in math class.
Very interesting article, I got the impression that the "riot" has gained a lot of ground, these kids are not copy cats but participants in a "riot" that started before a lot of them were even born.
Now we have to ask the question, "how do we put a lid on this"? Taking away the "rock" isn't going to solve anything.
Your right. They are dying by the millions not the hundreds from something that needs fixing that does not require attacking my rights. If you really cared about children dying there are millions of problems that kill more children than the occasional lunatic that goes on a killing spree. But there is no hype so no one cares.

How do you think other parents feel about what you wrote? That I called out.
Still not sure of your point.
I'm beginning to think I don't care.
And even as gun ownership goes up school shootings and gun deaths in general decline.

I've already posted link that contradict both your assertions.Bassackwards as per usual, in the US the percentage of household gun ownership is declining while school shootings has increased.
I don't have to search for them, I know they are incorrect...ergo, yer wrong.....yer not always right (correct) as you have said for years.I've already posted link that contradict both your assertions.
Well, well, well, look who we have here. Long time no see.I don't have to search for them, I know they are incorrect...ergo, yer wrong.....yer not always right (correct) as you have said for years.
