Why Americans don't do anything about mass shootings[W:465]

Yeah Den, its me....whut took you so long to escape from that dead fishbowl?

Oh wait, I see, yer lucky charm sycophant clued you in.....
Actually, no, not originally. I think she was clued in by same guy that showed me this forum.

Whutever Den, you gunna get back to proving yer assertions with facts...or are you just going to keep referring to an author who relies on anecdotal tales?

You are writing the same-old-same-old crap the NRA puts out. That it isn't the gun it is the person. Well, we have had 22 such happening s with guns since just the first of the year. And you and the NRA just say guns don't kill people. people do or as the OP says, it is the price of freedom. I am sure if it comes to someone connected to your family you would probably just say the same. And the beat goes on. There will probably be as many as 40 school shootings by the end of the year and you will still be saying guns don't kill people, people do. I feel sorry that our country isn't better than this.
Name a few of those 22 school shootings. Of course the lated ones in Texas and Florida, so just give us a few more of the 20 remaining. Guys accidentally discharging a gun while try to clean it or committing suicide don't count. The shooting has to actually be ON the campus. Go ahead, give us a few.

We are SUPPOSED to do what every other developed nation has done to help prevent this stuff. Its not rocket science. Its gun control

Are you able to offer any specifics as to what constitutes gun control? Does it include the repeal of the Bill of Rights?

Do you offer a warm fuzzy feeling, or some solid steps to make people stop killing each other?

Resist, resist, resist Trump... All this faux gun outrage is nothing more than a wedge issue.

To keep things in perspective, "mass shootings" took place in this society before Trump became POTUS. I did not vote for him, and consider him an idiot and property of the Israeli government, but these things were happening before he came along. He cannot be blamed for them anymore than POTUS can be blamed for the failure or success of the Dow Jones.

Already have.

I will be happy to discuss my plan. Try being polite and you might get it. Now.....ask nicely

Um, if you are still referring to Gladwell, his article did not back your claim. Try again, this time with some real effort.
Nope, not referring to Gladwell, keep looking.

So how many times you been suspended since you got here? High double figures? :lamo

If you can't present data here, now, to back an argument, you lose.

In 6 years? Dunno, but I have no problem with it, just as you had no problems being temped at UT.

Glass houses, Den.

So let me know when you have anything you can refer to other than....nothing.

I give Trump a lot of credit for his economic policies; less regulations and tax reform, so yes, the DOW is probably reacting to that. He is a friend to growing and new businesses. Plus, today he has called a truce with China over tariffs, so there again, Trump's actions cannot be dismissed. Market closed over 25k, up almost 400 points today. Agree that he should not be blamed for mass gun shootings, but alas it does not keep his political opposites from using gun control as a wedge issue.

Hold you breath.

On its best day, politics is a really dirty business.

In most countries kids will not get shot in math class.

Kids are FAR more likely to get run over by a car walking to school, or get in an accident while in a school bus or while driving to school as teens than getting shot in math class or any other class.

This reminds me of the overblown fear of terrorists.

One of them is a middle school kid shooting another kid with a BB gun. That's literally one of the 22 shootings that CNN padded its numbers with to come up with those 22. THat's how dishonest the anti-gun morons are.

From CNN

Why Americans don't do anything about mass shootings

In October, 2017, the worst mass shooting in US history took place at a country music concert in Las Vegas. Fifty-eight people were killed and more than 500 people injured. Bill O'Reilly boiled the massacre down to six words: "This is the price of freedom."

I hate to say it, but he is right. Sunday, just 34 days after Vegas, 26 people were gunned down and about 20 others were wounded during a church service in Texas. And here's what is really sick -- we won't be surprised when there's another mass shooting next month. Maybe it'll be your church, your mall, your concert or your movie theater. That's the price of freedom.

In America, we are free to stockpile weapons. We are free to order ammo online. We are free to outfit our guns with bump stocks, like the Vegas shooter did. This is the price we pay for freedom, alright. The freedom to not give a damn.

COMMENT:-

Is the comment about "The freedom to not give a damn." COMPLETELY off base?

Because NRA gets off on Watching Childrent getting blown away, and NRA controls many politicians....

Simple Reason!

From the article that Bullseye just posted...no amount of school security is going to work.

Did you check it out?

Think about it, it works in many other parts of sociity, yet some say it cannot work. You have a thinking mind, you have insticts, trust them, divorce youself of outside influences and interference, then simply decide what is true and not. You are Welcome.

Yes but in this country add getting shot in math class to the list
