Who is a Christian?

What version of the Bible does that come from?

ESV

“I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord, who does all these things.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬
The original English translated version. King James. The only true English bible.

I was Christian for many years.

I attended bible college, taught a sermon or two.

Woke up one day with a huge "wait a sec" thought. "One woman?" God gave Adam one woman?

Even a kid knows you need at least two females to raise guppies otherwise the DNA deteriorates.

The world makes perfect sense when you realize its nothing more than an accident of nature. Probably billions across this universe....we just THINK we have to be special and not vermin destroying our own habitat
One is not to add science into bible verses or beliefs.

Actually 2. But the first one, Lilith, told Adam to go **** himself.

I am not a Christian. It's not my place or my judgement that matters. Members of a club always get to decide membership criteria to join the club and they are not obliged to post them on the door. People on the outside need to MTOB.
I mean in terms of in house doctrinal matters (orthodoxy and orthopraxy) sure. Trouble is, Christianity is one of those faiths with far reaching influence, including over nonbelievers. And far too many American politicians are keen to blur the lines between church and state.

Which is why so many choose to reject Biblical literalism.

Honestly one is compelled to if only to keep one's intellectual integrity intact.

"I form light+ and create darkness,+
I make peace+ and create calamity;+
I, Jehovah, am doing all these things." Isaiah 45:7

Jehovah Does Not Cause Evil. Some Bible translations say that Jehovah creates “evil.” (Isa 45:7, KJ, AS) But the Hebrew word raʽ in this context is rightly translated “calamity” (NW, By), “woe” (NAB, RS), or “disaster” (NIV). This verse does not convey the idea that God would create something evil or morally wrong. (De 32:4; Ps 25:8) There is a wide difference between a calamity and that which is morally wicked or wrong. In this and like contexts, raʽ is used of God bringing calamity to administrate justice. Examples of calamities created by Jehovah are the Flood of Noah’s day and the Ten Plagues brought upon Egypt. The rightful administration of justice against wrongdoers was involved in both cases. At times Jehovah, in his mercy, has not brought the intended calamity to execute his righteous judgment because of the repentance of those concerned. (Jon 3:10) And he warns the wicked to give them opportunities to change their course and to keep living.—Eze 33:11.

Moses knew his birth mother and his sister ---------were they not Hebrew. You know this! Maybe you should reread the first books of the Bible? https://www.gotquestions.org/Moses-mother.html
So? He knew them. Not until later in life.
He grew up Egyptian. He spoke Egyptian.

BTW - Moses in reality, didn't write any parts of the bible.

Introduction to the Mosaic Authorship Controversy

In the latter half of the nineteenth century, higher criticism began to gain traction, with critics disputing the traditional belief that Moses authored the Pentateuch. These scholars argued that Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy were not written by Moses but were instead composed from four distinct sources between the 10th and 6th centuries B.C.E. These sources were identified by the letters “J,” “E,” “D,” and “P,” representing the initials of the supposed writers in what has come to be known as the Documentary Hypothesis.

...and there we have the nut of the problem.

There is no god. So why do I have to listen to you all done on with your thee's and thous asking for new cars and refrigerators.

The church I belonged to had a prayer session and members were to fill out a card of what they wanted us to pray for. You have now idea ho much people think god is in the new car business!

That has not been my experience. Through my brother and threw another friend I've gotten to know a lot of scientists many of them are very devout Christians.

I am sure they are wise enough to be careful with what they share….especially so with fundamentalists…..

Well they probably don't really interact with fundamentalists so it's not something in general that a person has to deal with so I'm not sure about that one. I'll ask.

Did YOU read the story, or are you winging it? Perhaps you saw a cartoon version or you're trying very hard to be disagreeable? The real birth mother of Moses hid the baby for three months. Jochebed was the real mother and nursed Moses and this would have involved several years ---- likely even becoming a "nanny" to Moses.
