Even most Trump supporters probably see some shortcomings with this president. What is he doing most wrong?

He is THE perfect president for america at this time; a true representation of the depravity to which this society has sunk.

Since leftwing rants by anti trumpsters are a dime a dozen around here he was clearly asking trump supporters to bash their candidate

Just for a change of pace I suppose

Clearly he wasnt if you actually bothered to read the poll questions

I think it's too early to tell with Trump. I don't like his manner, and I think he has been caught in some blatant lies. But then, NewsFlash: politicians lie. I think we must judge on results, and it's too early to see what those are.

I don't think it's too early for a Trump assessment. I don't think it's too early for a Congress and Senate assessment. They all campaigned by bashing Obamacare, and had all these super ideas and promises. How can you not view this as a monumental failure after 6 months? I chose the "Both 2 and 3" option in this poll, because Trump has shown that he cannot work with Congress or the Senate. The resignations and firings in his cabinet, along with the public smears, like we recently heard with Jeff Sessions demonstrate that he is a DIVIDER and not a UNITER.

I'm not aware of any politician who delivers on his/her promises, either. Obama, if you recall, promised to investigate the previous administration and how we got into Iraq. He promised strict regulations and investigations of the financial sector for crashing the economy. He promised to close Guantanamo. He promised more progressive tax reform. None of those happened, or happened in such a weak way that it wasn't much of a difference. Despite this, I think he was a good President. He got us out of a foreign policy hole, reformed health care (not enough, but in the right direction), and got our economy going again. I think we need about a year to make an assessment of any President, so I'm waiting at least that long.

Now, Trump could change that. If he (say) decides on a whim to nuke North Korea or Iran, that would be very bad. If he takes some action that crashes the economy, that would be very bad. And some things have already bothered me. I think there does seem to be some substance to the Russia connection. The Comey firing is pretty shady. Trump's manner is odd, to say the least. I suspect that his policies are going to lead to serious trouble, but again, I think we just have to wait and see. If I'm wrong about Trump's policies leading to bad consequences, then great! That means our country does well, or at least not badly. If I'm right, I hope that folks on the conservative side of the spectrum do some honest examination of their beliefs, and in any case, it'll mean swing voters will tend to move left.

I put a "Like" on your post. It is well-articulated, and you make some good points. I will say that you a more patient person than I am...

We like Trump because he's less likely to allow the disease of effete Eurosocialism infect this country. Its also why most Eurosocialists hate Trump

Funny. Empty words are mostly spoken by empty heads. Do you really see Trump as some kind of guardian, protecting you from the infection of Eurosocialism? What do you see him doing, standing with his arms crossed over his substantial chest, cape blowing in the wind behind him and sternly forbidding packs of slavering Eurosocialists from invading the American homeland? What does it mean to not allow the disease of Eurosocialism to inferct your country?
Don't bull**** the troops. You voted for Trump because of a SCOTUS choice and now that he's looking like the buffoon everyone said he would be you've sunk to inventing bogus heroic roles for him. Face it- your boy Trump is a lowlife gutterdwelling embarrassment to all good Americans. Your country can't begin to be great again 'till he and his ilk are excluded from your politics.

What is Trump's Most Substantial Presidential Shortcoming?

He spent the last 8 year trying to undermine the office he now occupies. ;)

I don't know if the alleged trump quotes are real or fake

But in either case I strongly believe that the electorial college is the best form of government for a republic llike ours

Clearly he wasnt if you actually bothered to read the poll questions

The op has already thrown in his lot with the anti trumpsters and told me I was wrong and you were right

But that was what I expected him to do

I'll stick by my first assessment if you don't mind

No one asked you

The thread only invited trump supporters to respond

Reading comprehension trouble in Trumpland...

Even most Trump supporters probably see some shortcomings with this president. What is he doing most wrong?

He is one of the worst speakers I have had the displeasure to hear. I mean, look at some of these trash Trump quotes on healthcare that would make a middle school debate team blush:

"The only way the government should be involved, they have to make sure those companies are financially strong, so that if they have catastrophic events or they have a miscalculation, they have plenty of money. Other than that, it's private."

“We have to come up, and we can come up with many different plans. In fact, plans you don't even know about will be devised because we’re going to come up with plans—health care plans—that will be so good. And so much less expensive both for the country and for the people. And so much better.”

“Repeals burdensome taxes, big … Will provide better coverage for low-income Americans. By the way, low-income Americans under our plan—and we're doing things at this meeting which I think you'll be very happy about, because we're going to spend some more money to make sure everybody is protected.”

If libs did not have cut and paste to express themselves they could only be spectators on the forum

A LMAO smilie is the only response your ridiculous comment deserves. It is hilarious how much you have dug in your heels on something so ridiculous.

Are you still here?

You and your gif's would fit in well on the political comments page for pre-schoolers on the Cartoon Channel

I mean, how hard is it for someone to admit they misread something? Everyone does it. Why keep digging that hole?

Took you that long to come up with THAT insult?

If I misread I would say so

what the forum didn't need was another thread of rabid liberal trump haters bashing the president

There are a hundred of those already

Clearing this was an attempt to get trump supporters to bash trump instead

If I misread I would say so

Nothing in the OP stated the question was only for Trump supporters. OP said, "EVEN Trump supporters..." meaning including.

I had trump pegged for NPD back in the 90's. Hell. even my OWN Psychologist agrees that Trumps NPD is severe, he finds it difficult to show empathy. When the man does show empathy, such as donating $, he has to hold a press conference, and make the charitable act about him. I have no doubt, his thin ego, and lashing out, will be his undoing.

I guess for those libs who rely on gifs to express themselves you do have to draw them a picture rather than hope they figure it out for themselves

You are peeing in the wind.......special kind of dense.

Why can't you just admit that you misread it? We all make mistakes, including Trump.

Even most Trump supporters probably see some shortcomings with this president. What is he doing most wrong?

Let me count the ways...

On second thought, the list would be so long that it would be easier to list his attributes: Generally good dresser; probably a decent golfer.

Among his many shortcomings are his inability to know the truth from lies and right from wrong.
