What does the bible say about gay rights?

You cannot think for yourself and think logically and still believe in a theistic god. There is absolutely no empirical evidence for a supernatural deity that does not hinge on blind faith and unproven belief.
There is far more to life than logic, Lisa.

Logic is everything because if your decisions are based on your you cannot build on them or trust them. That is why logic is taught.

Why would you want to defend a decision that you admit isn't logical? Why would you want to believe in something that you cannot prove to be true? What is it about theistic religious belif that attracts you, even if you just admitted that it isn't logical? What are you afraid of happening if you stopped believing in god?

Besides logic, there is sentiment. Sentiment is a human value.

Precisely.

Quite agree. There are way too many gray areas.
- It's NOT gay if you don't swallow.
- It's NOT gay if you have a bit of a cry afterwards.
- It's NOT gay if you beat him up, steal his wallet, and leave the confession booth before he can get his clothes back on.
- It IS gay if you say "I have to have them" in a shoe store.
- It IS gay if you refer to sweets as "to die for".
- It IS gay of you order a peppermint schnapps.

Thank god I have Alex Jones to educate me on these things...

I think nowadays people wouldn't put up with anti gay or transphobic slurs.

I remember when i was in school which was around 1997 and in a place to teach disabled people job skills which was 2003, some of the people were homophobic towards a gay person.

I think current year 2020, many people wouldn't put up with calling someone a antigay slur or such.

Funny how Christians follow the one on homosexuality, but don't pay attention to the ones that are considered wrong in today's world.
Amazingly, if it wasn't for those pesky Christians, slavery would still be full on accepted today, in the west, not just in the Middle East.

Christians has nothing to do with ending slavery. Christians used the bible to support it, still do

Christians are the ONLY reason slavery ended, there is no other. The fact there were some Christians that fought to keep slavery over other Christians who didn't is besides the point, most secular non-religious thinkers had no problem with slavery during the 19th century. 50 years after the civil war, my brethren atheists were still claiming eugenics is a good thing and survival of the fittest applies to human races.

It's embarrassing to see my fellow atheists trying to rewrite history, it happens all the time. It's almost like atheists really don't believe in their own doctrines (whatever those are, humanism or communism or whatever trendy ideology of the day) so they must destroy all others and any inkling of good from history to present ourselves as the saviours.

Embarrassing.

I bet you are quite hot, the more gay men the better cause the more hot women around for straight guys to bang! Perhaps a better question is what does the Bible say about the gay rights of a goat?
The answer would be to ask Ilhan Abdullahi Omar‘s ex husband ( I mean brother).

You at least tried to change the subject with a lame retort.

Cond federates used the Bible to defend slavery.

Out of the more than three quarters of a million words in the Bible, Christian slaveholders—and, if asked, most slaveholders would have defined themselves as Christian—had two favorites texts, one from the beginning of the Old Testament and the other from the end of the New Testament. In the words of the King James Bible, which was the version then current, these were, first, Genesis IX, 18–27:

“And the sons of Noah that went forth from the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole world overspread. And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: and he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.”

It says good luck.

How really really serious about a really really serious relationship are women, when they can get used for sex all the time.

Men should have to be used for sex by women until we complain we cannot handle uncommitted sex anymore and clamor for a really really serious relationship.

It's like the house trap, you buy with good intentions and get frustration and high cost.

What does the bible say about gay rights?

Leviticus 18:22
"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."
(NLT)

Leviticus 20:13
"If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have
committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense."
(NLT)

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat peoplenone of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.\

1 Timothy 1:8-10
Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine.
